Going to school sucks major ass. I'd rather go to work than to school, is that normal? I just hate how they expect you to be there all the time when you can just read the book and know exactly what was discussed in class, and then they expect you to go home and do stupid ass assignments that don't teach you a thing, just because they can. Get this: I have coloring homework. COLORING. Like on pieces of paper that she copied out of a little kids coloring book it looks like! I'm not in the fucking first grade for god's sake!!!! I have better things to be doing with my time. I wish i could drop that class too, because I'm going to do shit else in it if I have to color any more little pansy ass coloring pages. I don't have time for that shit. At least at work, all you have to do is show up, do what you're supposed to do, and when you leave, you forget about it, no worrying about having to do more stuff and bring it back the next day. I really think that homework shouldn't be allowed. My argument for that is: College is treated like a job now. A lot of kids are told, "You don't have to work as long as you're enrolled in school" (I can only dream about that one....). If you're a "Full Time" student, you are treated like you are actually working at a job (because enrolled for 12 hours in school is the equivalent of a 30 hour work week if you want to make A's.) Therefore, if college is a job, why do we have to go home and do more stuff? Why can't we just do what we need to do in class? I know it would make things a lot easier on me. Especially since I actually work too, and 40 hours a week even. If we did everything that we needed to do to learn in class, then I'm forced to think about them and do them while I'm there. And isn't that what I'm there for anyway? to learn? I go to school to learn, not home. I go home to rest. This corruption of the purpose for the home is a leading factor in increasing the stress of daily life. Isn't our fast-paced society stressful enough? With high blood pressure, strokes, heart attacks, migraines, tension headaches, depression, suicide, and HIV (yes, HIV) higher than they've ever been before and continually rising, don't we have to do something? The last place we have to go to rest our minds from the constant cacophony of input it is receiving throughout the day is no longer available, it has been taken away from us by lazy teachers who only do as much as they absolutley have to do, and shove all the rest of it off on the student. Why? because they can. It is an abuse of power. A prime example of human nature.
...someone should do something about it. Me, I have to go do homework.
