What is it with this city? Why is it so chilly out? I got a friggin' runny nose cycling this evening. And the ends of my fingers (the ungloved parts) are having a bit of difficulty with mobility right now. It's the friggin' 4th of July for heaven's sake. Of course, I didn't notice any mosquitos, so that's a blessing. But I hate having a runny nose. Wah. 
Karla Homolka was just interviewed on TV. Why wouldn't she just kill herself? How can you live with yourself doing the things she did? How can someone who's done something so terribly awful get to be free again? How can the families of the victims be feeling, seeing her serve her time and walk into the street, while their daughters were tourtured by this woman, with her husband, tortured for days, until they were strangled and dismembered. Tortured by having teeth pulled, words carved into their skin and that's enough...
