I made a rule about ten years ago, and that was to never ever go to work again on my birthday. I book it off every year, and there is nothing on the planet that can make me go within one mile of that clinic. And since my birthday falls on a Monday this year, that means I have a long weekend, so I can be totally antisocial for three straight days.
Except I won't be able to because my family is too large to allow my birthday to sneak by, which is probably for the best because otherwise the realization of the fact that I'm going to be 43 FUCKING YEARS OLD will start to seriously affect my mind. It's times like these that I'm glad I'm so immature.
