It's Friday and it's NOT raining. It's beautiful outside.

I had a wasp in my car on my way home for lunch. I think wasps are the most entirely useless insect on the planet. I don't get their purpose. They're just mean buggers.

Interesting day at work today. Having worked there for so long, I often forget how extraordinary a place it is. I was reminded of this by our new IT guy who comes in from downtown to hook up computers to our network after I order them in. He's just started, and he said he's glad he got our place, because it's so cool and forward looking (and clean). We really are increasing our cutting edgedness (is that a word?) and our new Programs are going to emphasize that even more. Sounds like a weird description for a medical facility, I know, but I'm pretty proud to work there, in spite of the stress and the arguments and the demands of the job. And especially in spite of some of those people downtown.

Yes, it made me sad. Not depressed either, just sad. And the characters were so amazingly well played, as you said - so real!! I loved the way she was with her kids, and her and her husband together, and her lover, and her Mom - OK, just everyone was amazing in this movie! I am probably going to watch it again before I have to take it back. And I don't think I have seen anything else that Sarah Polley has been in, I will have to check out some more of her work.

i'll be honest, tales from gimli hospital made me want to eat my own eyes. but i was surprised about saddest music, i really liked it! he used the same shit 8mm film as he did for films in the past (complete with vaseline), but the film was far more coherant than anything else i've ever seen him do. and it was REALLY funny in some spots, too. the imagery at the end totally looked ripped off from deco dawson's Lustre (which makes sense, since they used to be friends), it looked great.

sad to see its overcast today, but all i'm doing is going grocery shopping, so i guess it doesn't matter. have a great day smile
