Best part of "Werewolf of London":
After the guy turns into a werewolf and realizes someone has stolen the neutralizing flowers, he thinks about his wife and how he has to kill the one he loves (some sort of werewolf rule, no doubt), and rushes out the door, but not before stopping to put on his hat and coat and scarf.
Best part of "The Wolf Man":
When Larry Talbot (Lon Chaney, Jr.) turns into a werewolf, his feet get really furry, but continue to look like human shaped feet. However, since he is now a wolf, he walks on tiptoes through the forest, I guess to make it look like the way a wolf would walk (except a wolf uses four legs and doesn't have heels).
Best part of "Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man":
After a night of being chased around as a furry werewolf, running normally this time with his furry feet, by a mob of angry villagers with lanterns (shouldn't they have had torches?) and ending up in the basement of Dr. Frankenstein's ruined castle, Larry Talbot wakes up in the morning with his shoes on!!! Lucky thing, because the basement was full of snow.
I'm going to watch "She-Wolf of London", "Frankenstein"
and "The Bride of Frankenstein" today. And "Dracula" if I have time. Plus my film shorts play at Cinemateque tonight. Happy Halloween!!!
