I feel like my whole life's been on hold for the last month or so. I'm really glad I have such very good friends in this city who are used to me disappearing all the time and never take things personally. It's a lot easier to understand this time, too.

The palliative care nurse said it really doesn't matter if I have a cold when visiting my Mom, so I'm going over there tonight. I was thinking I'm probably coming to terms with things. Last night I had a dream that I was at my parents' house at some sort of party, sitting in the livingroom, and my Mom came down, all dressed up with her hair done, looking ready to be the personable host she always was, smiling away and chatting with everyone. It was just such a great feeling, I remember feeling my whole chest lifting. Then I woke up and the feeling was still there for a few seconds, and then it wasn't and then I felt really really sad. But then not so bad, knowing that I had a good memory like that that I could dream about.

I begin working partially in my downtown office tomorrow, and I feel totally indifferent. And I celebrate another birthday next week. Rah rah.

I got the Suicide Girls DVD in the mail yesterday. I haven't watched it yet.

I have to think about doing some Christmas shopping soon.

I think I should change my profile picture, so maybe I will.

Even though I bought Tegan and Sara's latest cd quite a while ago, I listened to it endlessly on my road trips to the lake and around the province this summer, so listening to it now in the winter seems really odd because it seems like such a summer album to me. But it reminds me of summer, so that's cool.

It can get pretty cold here in Winnipeg.

'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' comes out soon. I hope they don't screw it up. I loved all the Narnia books except the last one.

I hope I get the chance to do some skating and tobogganing this winter. I went tobogganing only once last year and it was with HER (and her little guy).

I plan to win Lotto 6/49 this evening.

My bike looks lonely in the wintertime.

I'm actually sort of enjoying the Martha Stewart Apprentice show. I'm extremely disappointed in 'The Night Stalker' though. I gave up on it several weeks ago. Darren McGavin (who was also the hilarious dad in 'A Christmas Story') was a much better Karl Kolchak. I'm losing my patience with 'Desperate Housewives'. Everytime a Teri Hatcher scene comes up, I just want to fast-forward through the whole thing because I think she's an awful actress and her character is useless. I like 'The Family Guy' much more.

The new roof I got put on my house in June make me feel very safe now and it looks cool (when there's not snow all over it!).

Dinner's ready (well, almost). smile
misskate:
a few parts seemed a little choppy, like the part after the ball when herimone was crying, saying 'you've ruined everything', which i kind of understood by default, but it felt like something was left out.
