The biggest problem about going over to visit my parents every week is that I have to hear the same things over and over again. After a while, I just can't act like it's the first time I've heard a story anymore, when it's like the 25th time I've heard it. And it's not just that they say the same thing every week, they'll say it a few times in the same evening! I shouldn't be whining, but sometimes it's exhausting for me.

Mom won't take more than a half a tylenol or a baby aspirin for the pain she has sometimes. She's afraid she'll get addicted. She's 79 years old, been in chemo for 15 months, getting frailer, and she's afraid if she takes one or two tylenols, she'll get addicted. Do people even get addicted to regular tylenol? So, because of this fear, every so often she doubles over from the pain in her stomach. I don't get it. Nor does my dad.

On the brighter side, I didn't spend much money yesterday, which is unusual for a Saturday for me. I did end up with over $20 of Jelly Bellies, though. I need my Jelly Bellies at work, but they certainly are expensive.

And also, this site has become unbelievably slow sometimes of late. I was thinking that it's my computer that's causing the problem, but it doesn't act that way for any other sites. It gets to the point sometimes where I just think, why bother? frown

I'm sorry about your mom. :-( I don't think tylenol can hurt her, addictive or not. I'm surprised at her age she's not on a regimen of a lot of different things a day. What a trooper! She really should take something though, she'd feel so much better. I wonder if her doctor is good at persuasion?

*HUG*HUG*HUG*

Repetitiveness can be a little distressing at times, but I used to poke fun at my great grandma about it, and then she'd forget and I'd do it again and remind her I did it. While it was sad, it was kind of funny and comforting to both of us. Though she could still kick my ass at 96. wink

I know what you mean by the site, but you can't leave! Who'll be my buddy then, and what about all of the boobies? <g> Maybe we should petition Missy for more speediness. kiss Take care of yourself, and remember the e-mail if you need anything.

p.s. jelly bellies? that made me lol. wink
