I've decided to take my birthdate off my profile because I'm finding it depressing to be reminded of how old I am every single time I open up my page.

Amazing Race finale tonight. Kris and Jon had better win.

Awwww....sorry they lost. But 2nd place is ok.

Well....I have a TV, I just don't GET anything on it, so I watch DVD's and VHS movies and stuff sometimes. Cable is too expensive to justify while I'm in school. <g> Actually, it was too expensive to justify while I was working for years before school too. heh. The only things I miss are my fav. TV shows and, sadly, the news. Ah well. someday.....

So, I saw 'The Sea Inside' yesterday. Very good movie.

And today I went to see 'Hotel Rwanda'. What an extraordinarily powerful movie. It's such a strange concept to know that genocide is not something to read about with horror in history books. It always seemed so distant in the past, in spite of the living survivors from the Nazi camps. Yet, it happened again...

I still have 23 more years so you're not in that bad of a position.

i guess i never took into consideration the fact that some people work early and can't be out late on a school nite. tongue ah well, we'll meet at the theater eventually i'm sure anyway. if you ever go in the evening and need company, let me know, because i generally go see movies there by myself when rob is working.
did you go see 'house of flying daggers' yet? what'd you think? did you see 'the woodsman' when they had it? that was... intense. or 'sideways'? i hated 'sideways'. rob says i'm the only person who thought it was sad. i haven't seen 'the sea inside' yet.

*edited to say i read your journal after i posted, so ignore my question about 'house of flying daggers' blush

I think I may be going crazy. I feel things slipping away in my mind. But I'm conscious of it, so that's a good sign. Maybe I should...

-get a new job
-start smoking again
-start drinking again
-start smoking pot again
-start taking assorted hallucinogenics again
-start ruining my nose again
-get a new life (again?)

Sometimes when this place gets kind of empty
Sound of their breath fades with the light
I think about the loveless fascination
Under the Milky Way tonight

Lower the curtain down on Memphis
Lower the curtain down all right
I got no time for private consultation
Under the Milky Way tonight

Wish I knew what you were looking for
Might have known what you would...

cai:
well i would be honest with you if you tried on frames that looked bad. but i wouldn't get glasses at a walmart if i were you. they're kinda shitty. no i shouldn't say that... its just that, i think you could find nicer ones someplace else.
we charge $150 for progressive lenses, but if you want coatings its more.
progressives are kind of a kick in the crotch aren't they? whats your prescription? maybe you could pull off getting two pairs: one for distance and a reader??
whatever you do, stay away from the line bifocals.

My friend who got fired on Friday just called me and sounded upset and I'm waiting for her to come over here and I'm afraid she's going to drop another one of her bombshells on me...

Odd times...

Sea horses are cool...

'Wireless' used to mean the telegraph: it was state of the art technology on the Titanic...

I want to go tobogganing, but it's too cold out...

I ate Ethiopian food for New Year's Day dinner...I had to keep asking the waiter/owner for more water...he left us one small cup each...maybe he was trying to tell me something about eating...
