what i mean by consumerism is people feeling the need to have "stuff" ex: SUV's for 3 people families, 3 gaint flat screen tv's for a 2 person household, each person having their own computer, etc, and the bigger the better. Yes i buy stuff, but i like to try and shop conciensiously (bio-friendly cosmetics, recycled paper, and my family drives a small car to cut down on emissions). And does buying my Osiris's on sale make me happy? fuck ya! So yes, your observation might make me look like a hypocrit (and a good observation at that) but in the end, that aint the case
