So, Look who is updating her journal.
There are a million things I should be doing at the moment but I just don't know where to start so I'm taking a break from reality to fill you in on the non-events of my life.
Actually there has been a fair bit going on lately so here arw a list in no particular order of the highs and lows of life since my last entry.
- I went to see Smashing Pumpkins in London, iit was freakin' awesome, I love that band to bits and was so glad when they announced they were touring this year. OK so its not the original line-up which kills a bit of the magic but what the hey I love the songs and as long as it's Billy singing thats all that matters.
- One of my best friends from school and college died. I haven't been in touch with her much for the last couple of years as our live's tookt heir own paths but she was still someone who I admired and respected a lot. They found her dead in a bedsit above a pub in my town. When i first heard the story I didn't believe it as it sounded like something people would have made up about her when we were hedonistic 17 year olds but when I googled it, it came up and every detail was true. I was so shocked I didn't really know how to react. I wanted to cry but wasn't sure if it was really appropriate giving our recent lack of contact. I wish I'd made more of an effort and will miss her greatly.
- Uni is still going bad. As most of you know its never been easy for me, but this year I have worked my ass off for the proud grade of a C-. The effort and hours of organisation are in no way reflected in that grade, they say its my technical skills but when I ask them specifically whats wrong they never seem to be able to give me a straight answer. Good to know the tuition fees are well spent.
- My brother's girlfriend is a headcase. I used to really like the girl but recently shes been making up stories and phantom pregnancies in a big to try and salvage their rocky relationship, he is so fed up with her yet he still doesn't have the heart to dump her, some of the things she comes out with are so hurtful. i hate to see him so down.
- My Dad just had surgery on his leg and he's hobbling around on crutches. The surgery was nothing serious just the progresive step in fixing his smashed up leg after an accident 18 years ago. I was only 5 then but I remember visiting him with his leg literally hanging off and blood and skin dripping all over it, the fact he's back in plaster and on crutches has brought that all back to me. I had a pretty easy childhood but thats the memory that scars the most. I can't wait til he's up and active again!
- My eyes are so buggered. Different Doctor's different opinions. Would be so much easier if I only had to be treated at one hospital but no my case is rare and needs the attention of 2 hospitals worth of doctors. Writing my dissertation has been hell on them with all the reading writing and endless hours at a screen, they just aren't strong enough to deal with that kind of strain. Will be so relieved when its all over and done with.
- I'd love to post some of my work here to share with you guys but I have a conscience and don't know how my models would feel having hteir pictures on a soft porn site, even though they're all clothed and covered. What do you guys think?
Anyway hope you're all well. Tell me what you're doing
