Karma. Isn't it a great thing?
Well, well, well look who got what she deserved for that (possible) nasty rant yesterday. Just what I need 2 weeks before I'm due off on the trip I've been waiting for for months. So today I had to go to eye clinic which is great fun at the best of times as you can imagine, but today I've only gone and buggered things up spectacularly. Yeah so you know when you run out of a certain medication and you know you need to ring the doctor and get a repeat script but its just one of those things on your to do list which just never gets done? Yeah well after a month of meaning to get a repeat for some eyedrops it still hasn't happened and now I'm paying for it.
As it turns out in the time between my last visit and today my eye pressure has rocketed from 20 - which is at the higher end of 'normal' to 38 which is lethally high and can lead to all kinds of problems, so yeah obviously my consultant was really pleased with me, she doesn't even need to yell all she had to say was 'oooh Laura' in this really stern tone and I felt dreadful. So after months of remission I am now about to become spectacularly ill again and have been given yet more pills and eyedrops, so I suppose I deserve it. I know I'm going to go blind in this eye one day, and it isn't IF anymore it's WHEN. Some small part of me wants that ime to come sooner rather than later, at least then I will have time to adjust, but whatever happens I have to guard my right eye with my life.
So there you go, I got what I deserved I guess, even though I really didn't mean to offend anyone yesterday and have absolutely nothing against people with learning disabilities at all, I just felt kind of vocal yesterday and threw it open for discussionand I agree with every single thing that you guys said completely.
i leave you today with my new drugs timetable, here for my benefit really so while I'm busy occupying myself with this site I can think 'oh shit I didn't take my -----------, I better go take it now'
