"an outsider in this light, without object.
it turned out that the light, even while giving itself to this already-thing which existed, which denied existance to you.
there was this face bathed in an infinite space. i knew there would always be this face and this infinite space"

the early spring is a tempramental time! i've spent the better parts of the last couple days reading jaques roubaud and seaching for the bird whose call so elates me in the morning.
my friend joe found cardinal feed, and we wait and watch for the pious bird. they are handsome, robust, and numerous this year! a great day is coming.

oh yeah, I'm a bird watcher too. the one and only time I ever saw a Cardinal in Arizona, I was ecstatic, it was truly beautiful.
there's a 20 foot saguaro in the front yard of the home across the street from me with at least a dozen nests burrowed into it. and, there is a reflective tint on my bedroom window, so birds fly down to my window ledge and peck at their reflections all day. my favorites are the woodpeckers, they'll actually perch on anything and contentedly peck away for an hour or more. you can hear 'em clacking on streetlamps all over the neighborhood, I think it's kind of cool.
awhile back, I went to the dentist. all the examination rooms have windows that face a small, well manicured desert garden landscape outside the office. on this particular day I saw a mated pair of roadrunners tending their nest. roadrunners aren't particularly colorful, but they are very distinct-looking and are a rare sight nowadays in this part of town. so, at least that made the trip worthwhile.

You are so fortune to have cardinals just a "song"away! We here on the west coast do not have them (alas). I did have the opportunity to experience their beauty when in Hawaii last. Such amazing creatures!
(Baudelaire is MY "spring poet.")
You have such a lovely way of expressing yourself, by the way.

Whoops. Just added a comment to your previous journal entry. Don't think you saw it (lost in the ether). Thanks for your input. Most everyone else responded rather grumpily. Apparently, "rose-colored glasses" are the current accessory of choice. Oh, well. The life of a cynic is sometimes a lonely one...
Enjoy your little insectoid symphony.

i just realized last night that my phone has been off for the last three days, and i did'nt even notice it. hows that for lame.
it kind of reminded of this last winter, where i get off the train at some random spot, and just wander around, every once in a while, finding some random art gallery...

I love to wander. (That's how you discover all the good shit.)
Yeah, I have had some really illuminating conversations with street folk. Disturbing and illuminating. Street folk and soldiers...
Thanks for your comment. Most everyone else responded rather negatively. Apparently, the man's viewpoint is overly simplistic and entirely too cynical. It would seem that "rose-colored glasses" are the current accessory of choice around here.
Oh, well.
Welcome aboard.

You sound like quite a fascinating person! I am sending you a friendship request. Accept if you wish...
sigur ros, are a good band, not my usual cup of tea, but good band yes.
hows tricks, i pulled of a flying crow man 720' handle guy, today, almost killed myself.
One based on body language and akin to dance.
Sign language may be close, but i wouldn't be afraid to use musical tones and grunts as emotional punches.
It'd be interesting.
oh and cicads don't tase anywhere near as good as chicken nuggets.
