These Folks are gods among mere mortals. I finally placed my order at the public access seed bank. Plant seeds, that is. It reads as such:

--Basil, Large Sweet. (a!,h) OCIM-1S. Packet: $1.50
--Okra Clemson Spineless. (c,g) VOKR-CS. Packet: $1.00
--Tomato Cuor Di Bue. (a,h) VTOM-CB. Packet $1.50
--Nepeta Cataria. (b,h) NEPE-3. Packet: $2.00
--Passiflora caerulea. (c,g-h) PASS-8 Packet: $2.00
--Tropaeolum majus Tall Single Blend. (c,h) TROP-5X. Packet: $1.25

The last is lemon balm, preceeded by marigold, nasturtium, passion flower and catnip. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOh, happiness might very well be mine.

Monster lettuce plants have taken over the "shade garden"... Now I know the inspiration for the Cabbage Patch Kids - it's like a little family of fluffy green aliens is camping out here.

And yes, just for the record, I live in a desert. We had our first 2 inches of rain for the year this week. Nonetheless,

he he. now how is it you're just now ordering seeds? isn't it a bit late for that stuff? i don't do the gardening around here - that's my fiance's hobby. i wish i did, but i just can't get past having to cut worms in half and disturbing all those creatures who love the dark so much. how sad is that? i have a brown thumb anyway.

the photo of the dandelions was only slightly photoshopped to enhance the contrast a tad. but just a tad. they really were glowing like that. i can't remember - i think it was a nearby parking lot light that was doing it.
