Temperature is plummeting outside. The sky is blindingly clear tonight. I just rode home on my bike and my fingertips are still a little numb.
The cat died this weekend at age 15 after pissing uncontrollably (and sometimes unnoticably) here and there. Organ failure, cancer? Days later I still see little bits of movement out of the corner of my eye and figure it's him.
Got blind drunk and went to the burlesque show downtown saturday night for his wake. Well choreographed, with an energetic if stand-in-one-spot-and-nod-to-the-music crowd. They wrapped it up with a wicked-cool suspension. I stumbled home down Central (Historic Route 66) through the cold past other drunken revelers and cops on Really Big Horses.
20 typed pages and 35 hours to not fail out of grad school, get kicked off the island, whatever. And what am I doing? Reading slashdot.org and looking at new SG sets. It's official; I'm retarded.
