Would You Have Sex With Charles Bukowski?

gigi: Would you have sex with him? At that age, right there like that?

vodka: Would I have sex with Charles Bukowski?? Well, I dont know about thaat.

gigi: I mean would you if this was the first time youd ever seen him.

vodka: What?

gG: Okay, if you happened to attend Bellevue in 1970 where he was...

Can I plead insanity for murder because it's close to 200 degrees outside?

And I had a nightmare for the first time in - I don't know - a year? Or months? Or 2 years? And it was disappointing because it wasn't irrational-scary, it was me behaving in a juvenile, retaliatory way. I wound up waking up disappointed in myself.

And now I'm fucking hot....

You have A/C?!!!??!

ARRR!!!
bartonfink:
Yeah, but I bet it's a dry heat.

wink

Here, the heat is wrapped in an overcoat of humidity, making you feel like you're breathing through wet cotton.

Fascinating poem...as always, several lines are simply striking, amazing.

biggrin SHE DID IT!!!!!!! My little girl is riding a bike! biggrin

*proud mommy*

biggrin

I took her out to the track at the local college (in 92 degree heat, #$%Q$^#$) and said "I'm not waiting for her dad to teach her any longer. I'm doing it!!"

After 15 minutes of coaching she was off!! We rode together around that track for 2 hours!!! I am so proud...

Good stuff! I remember learning to ride my bike when I was 7 so she isn't the oldest kid ever hehe. The real pros never had training wheels. eeek
paolodesade:
Nice bike, I think I had the boys version of that when I was a kid, but I can't find any pictures of me riding to comfirm. I miss that bannana seat, I used to ride my girl all around town on that bike, 3rd or 4th grade. She would wrap her arms around my waist and snuggle her head into the back of my neck and we would ride out to the woods and sit by the creek and kiss and hold hands untill it was time to take her back home for dinner.

Good times...

Okay, the interview results:

I went, had the interview at the salon for the 'Salon Coordinator' position (I can't style until I graduate), but they did not tell me at the time that it was evenings they needed to fill. I can't do that because I need to be home for my daughter. HOWEVER, they are going to be filling an apprenticeship position in 4-5...

Nothing serious, just all ready to go camping and everyone else bailed...Now I have to decide if I want to go alone.

Pick-up lines suck. And I hate when guys are graphic about what they want to do to me when they hit on me. wink

But....I don't think I can fling a mud pie from here to there. frown

I have a job interview tomorrow at a salon.

*phew*

I am/was starting to get a little nervy about that.

I am damned excited. Should I say that when I get there?

"Hi! Damned excited to meet ya, I am!!"

That might not give the impression I'm after... The salon is in NW Portland in a pretty trendy part of town. This means fun cuts/colour,...

Your poetry is stunning, powerful. You are published, of course?

I hope the interview went well!

I LOVE Found magazine! I must admit, however, that it is regularly one of my "hang out in Borders and drink tea and peruse all the magazines I'm too chea...uh...frugal to subscribe to or purchase" choices. I plan to look for the book; thanks for the recommendation.

Monday

Well, the weekend has come and gone. I feel as though I've accomplished nothing. I did assist in the judging of a sonnet competition, albeit minor. That was interesting and somewhat painful. Sonnets, and other form poems, have been easier for me to write because of having to follow formulae. I like puzzles. However, most of the entries I was judging were from first...

I went to my very first Fetish Ball last night. How fun it was! Everyone was super nice, and really fancy! I wish I had some of those beautiful corsets. There were not as many people there as I was expecting, so the hyperventilating did not take place, lol...

I did not meet too many people, but I did meet a person or two that...

You are so lucky , we never have any fetish balls here in Connecticut frown What kind of auction are you attending tonight ?

Here's a photo of my Garmin GPS to answer your question biggrin

bartonfink:
So, will there be pictures of the "new" hair? Of the delicious-sounding outfit you wore Saturday night?

The Dark Backwards? Ohmyheavens! What an amazingly odd film;I love it! I keep hoping for a release on DVD, but alas, none is in the works yet, that I'm aware of.

Then again, look how long we had to wait for "Eraserhead".

You know The Dark Backwards. I am deeply impressed.

And speaking of deeply impressed, I enjoy your poetry. Your addition to the "poetry challenge" thread was beautiful.

I'm starting to remind myself of Neil on "The Young Ones"

"Boring, Boring, Boring!"

I'm tired of grueling routine: work, school, homework, study, tests, write, sleep, repeat. Wanting fun...

Super sonic

Peace
Comes to me slowly
With seasoned hands
Pressing ligaments
Stretched tight
Between thick hips,
Thighs and
Fine waist
Peach flashes
Against blush flight

Prey
Carry, travel me
Peace Grandiose
Palm these fronds
Fold crosses here
Worship
This altered being
With those nails

Seams
Bent on breaking
Fragile fingers
Of shushing nature
Chastising urges
Arched to frenzy
Placebo freedom
Peach to orange
Blush...

My heavens!

Backtracking a it, I find your note that Barton Fink is one of your favorite films! The fact that you've even heard of it is delightful; that you actually enjoyed it leaves me speechless with joy and wonder.

Have a lovely day.

SONNET

Is darkest night the cloak that hides my love
From eyes that search by starlight for his ghost?
My shadowed love; my hearts most humble host?
Concealed but for the starlight up above.
Is daylight strong enough to lift this veil
From eyes that squint to see this phantoms face?
Oh find me but one more rare gift embrace
Turn back the time, which...
