Saturdays.....
It is nice when you partially wake up, but it is Saturday so you can roll over and pull the covers up to your chin.
When you finally awake it is almost noon, so the restaurants are open and you can order in lunch.
Yup, Saturdays are pretty nice.
For the next week no emotional, drama lama blog entries.
Tonight I restart the law of attraction.
I plan on asking for two things on Monday. My promotion and getting an office when we move in June. Believe it or not the office is the more important of the two. I think I have the convo planned in my head.
Short story, I was given more work in order to "prove myself", I have had my review yet, but should have it soon. I did talk to my VP and I know that increasing my salary is part of the problem (I negotiated well when I came in and in all honesty our company is doing okay, but not great). I would be happy just to have the new title and the office. And my plan is to tell my VP that. He told me I couldn't get a raise until at least March. I am willing to suggest not getting a raise until July (my official review time), so long as by April I have the title and office.
My thought process being that so many career articles mention that at this moment it is easier to get perks in exchange for salary increases. So that is how I am going to approach it.
But of course I am always open for any suggestions of tactic, actual words, etc.
Lastly, it is gorgeous out which is great, but I am sad that all the snow opportunities may be over....I feel like we had no snow this year.

Thank you for the condolences. We should get together while I'm still up so you can meet the fiance.
The funeral is next Sat and then I'll be flying her ashes to FL to drop off the back of my Uncle's boat in the Atlantic, then flying across the coast to home.

I've run into the same problem may times, now I just laugh and put them on ignore. This one pisses me off though ... and I may find myself pursuing this legally on the outside due to the possiblity of my businesses being harmed.
