Yeah, so I talked to a neurosurgeon from Boston, danced with a deaf guy and did the jitter bug on crack. Who are you to judge?

Plus, I danced with KikiBH all night!

Yep....you and I would be like 2 peas in a pod, when it comes to our good old comfort food. I think it's our midwestern background. I recently made a variation on chicken and dumplings, as I substituted biscuits for the dumplings....so I guess it was creamed chicken over biscuits. It was just as good or maybe even a bit better, as I'm a big fan of biscuits.

I grilled big old Iowa chops for my supper tonight....being it was my Bday supper and all. I also had a big old slice of carrot cake as my Bday cake!

Thank you for the wonderful Bday wishes..... kiss

By the way....that is probably a pretty accurate depiction of what the delivery room looked like when I popped out.....except I've had a cow lick above my right eye since day one.

biggrin

I've always liked Crissy and the Pretenders and though I haven't seen her for awhile, she still looks pretty good!

Hope you're having a great time with the nice fall weather!

I RAN A RACE THIS PAST SATURDAY. THIS RACE WAS LIKE NO OTHER. KikiBH did her first race!

WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW PROUD I AM OF HER. I WILL NEVER FORGET THE LOOK OF ACCOMPLISHMENT ON HER FACE!

IT'S THINGS LIKE THAT.... LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL. AND SO ARE MY FRIENDS

I've only ever run the Midnight Run 5k on new year's eve here in NYC.
I'm afraid of any other race.

Great job getting Kiki to run though!

NO FUCKING WAY, DUDE! Are you serious?? Shit... Congratulations, buggers.

Isn't that where the swallows go back to?

Watch out for swallows....they'll get caught in your hair. They like to dive bomb at people who get too close too their nest.....next thing ya know, you've got a swallow that misjudged the dive and it's all tangled up in your hair!

biggrin

Seriously though, Happy Bday and have a great trip!

I'm really into Elton John as of lately. Not Sir Elton John, just Elton John.

A few years ago I was staying at a beach house and had a dream. Everything was all white. It was Elton John decked in all white and he, of course, was sitting at a beautiful white grand piano. I was there along with RuPaul, both of us wear wearing...

Hi!

Guess who's back after a hiatus for almost a year? Yep, it's little old me!

I see you've added a letter to your moniker.....made it hard for me to find ya, but I finally did.

Hope things are really swell in your world!

smile
sabre:
I found you through Mr Goose's page....so thanks go out to him, for keeping you as a friend!

I'm doing OK. Things are a little more troublesome here though. Mom suffered a stroke on January 14th. It has affected her right side....her leg and arm. She's had a few other complications too....too much to go into here....so it's been a struggle for her. Strokes are not easy to recover from and take a long time. My days are even more filled with caring for Mom now. My sister comes out everyday to help too. So, I've not done much of anything or been anywhere away from home since January. Mom is hanging in there, but it's a tough row to hoe. If you're into the habit of saying prayers, adding a word or two on behalf of my Mom to the man upstairs, would be deeply appreciated.

We've had TONS of rain here this spring. We've not had any flooding in my area....that's mostly been in central and eastern Iowa along the major rivers. It did put planting way behind schedule though. I didn't get any sweetcorn planted this year....the first time in my memory. Lots of tornadoes too....one came within 2 miles of my house the first week of June...I think there were 6 tornadoes within 10 miles of me that night. Things have settled down a bit now. All the rain has made the grass grow and it's all I can do to keep up with it each week.

On a brighter note, I've lost weight! After moving back home 4 years ago, I steadily put on a few pounds each year. The first week of December, I decided that I needed to go on a diet and get back to my normal, healthy weight. I weighed 254 lbs. Since then, I've changed my eating habits and diet and I now weigh 200 lbs. I have about 10 more lbs. to go. Lots of my clothes that I kept, fit me again....kinda like having a whole new wardrobe! I can wear slim fit jeans again! Feeling a lot better and a lot better about myself too!

Guess that's about enough of my saga for here and now. I'll PM you my email address again.

Soooo..........what's new with you and the Mr.??

Take care.....
