Okay so I have a confession to make, I am a huge Ghostbusters fan. In fact it was one of the first ever movies I saw as a child and I instantly fell in love with it. I've had model Ecto-1's, posters, even te entire soundtrack for Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II. I love this film series with all my heart and I even used to watch the really childish cartoon they had. I have to say I like the new Ghostbusters and while I don't think in any sort of capacity it will be better or even on par with the originals I like it!!!! I like it because it's new and it's fun. Ghostbusters was never ever supposed to be taken seriously at all I mean the first real ghost they encounter as the group is Slimer, a ghost that really only eats every single thing in sight and well.....slimes you. The Ghostbusters movies were supposed to be comedies and were designed to make you laugh and have a great time at the theatre watching them. They are not serious films but fun movies. The new Ghostbusters film is doing just that, it's bringing the fun back to a modern audience and it's even doing it's own original thing. There isn't a Stay Puft Marshmallow man in this one!!!! This new Ghostbusters is doing what the new Star Trek films did which is it's making a fun movie that everyone can see young and old. The new Star Trek films are nothing like the original, TNG, Voyager, DS9, or any of the series and films that came before. It's an action filled everything blows up in the first 5 minutes kind of film. It's FUN!!!!! As a Trekkie I LOVE the new Star Trek movies because they are fun and that's what the new Ghostbusters film is going to be......FUN. Stop complaining people and go see it and have a good time.

Quentin Tarantino does those style of films because he has a mindset like you. Most of his films are grainy and or a throwback to the old spaghetti western type films or the old pulp films of the 70's. You're totally right about the attention span. I mean so many people have a very short attention span and or just no taste for intellectually stimulating shows. Why do you think History Channel, A&E (which used to stand for Arts and Entertainment), TLC (which used to be The Learning Channel) are all reality shows? Because that's what people are into. Vine has gotten so popular because it doesn't force people to be involved or engaged for more than 6 seconds. @USERNO1
