@phianixx I loved the story of Watchdogs, the sequel reached a little far out with some still cool characters and great upgrades to the existing formula, but I'm weary on Legion because it is reaching a little further into the future and sometimes too large a cast of characters means a lot less love for the "main" character. It's a nice concept of rebellion as it's showing Deadsec come into popularity as a strong standing voice of freedom and safety, but I feel like Ubi may have reached a little too far. I love Ubi, but sometimes with games like Far Cry, Assassin's Creed, and even Splinter Cell they lose sight of what really made the games special. Far Cry was kinda crazy, but after 3 the villains were... intense but disappointed me compared to Vaas. The leveling system that was added made it feel less realistic in terms of survival that the first game started so long ago. We have enough rpg shooters and don't need Far Cry to join that. I don't mind crafting better weapons, but I liked the reality of a headshot kill. Assassin's Creed had a great concept spanning history and locations, but the leveling thing lost my with Origins and Odyssey was just too much. Syndicate was perfect and I enjoy earning better gear to accomplish things via different routes, but leveling up to get higher level weapons that might kill someone in one shot feels less "assassin" and more role playing killer. I want a game that I could potentially unravel a cool story concept and still go straight to the end "boss" if I wanted to because it was more a game of skill than requiring levels to have a chance to beat. I know neither of these games are "real" but it appears the less realism the better to them. The latest Splinter Cell was fun, but too action oriented for my taste. I like when games have that element of reality and stealth. Ezio was cool, the twins were awesome, Watchdogs was fairly down to earth before Marcus made it a little more GTA than Watchdogs. I know it's all personal opinion, but sometimes extreme isn't better. I know CoD is crazy popular, but the story for the solo games became complete SyFy channel garbage and continued on  while adding mechanics that were more of an attempt to become Halo and other games that did the things better instead of sticking to a really kick ass World War or modern day formula that worked just fine. I could go all day on games. Don't get me wrong, I'll probably play the next line of any of these titles, but when I beat a game and never pick it up again I know it doesn't have that same feel. Give me a game that might be exactly the same every playthrough, but if I feel like I'm living my favorite action film and play it again to relive the experience then I'm all about it. Sorry... this is just my post E3 rant. I've been gaming too many decades. I do love the old lady in Watchdogs Legion. I'd play the entire game as her for the hell of it if I could.  I, also, should get back to gaming reviews. I know my opinions might never be as high as nearly any website that praises games with high scores, but I also don't completely trash games... just give them honest opinions. It was a fun gig, but time consuming, unpaid, and buying the games just to play them... well, you get the picture. At least set commentaries can allow me to completely let go and not swallow me as wholly as gaming. Different worlds, but... I don't know. Been a long week. I'm done creating a blog within @kungfury's blog. Haha! Love ya, dude! Maybe we just need to team up one day to do some legit reviews from our different gamer points of views.
kungfury:
@xheartswornx Yeah it’s cool, don’t worry about it. It was a good read. I do agree that the storyline in COD games are crap. Yeah I get what you mean by play it once and never play it again. A lot of games are like it. I’m like that with Days Gone, it’s good don’t get me wrong but it’s not replayable you know. I’m kinda getting bored of open world games. Too many of them. Anyway love ur comments man. @phianixx Yeah I love the Watch Dogs games, especially 2. One was not as bad as everyone says it is. I thought it was fine. Sure the story sucked but the gameplay was good enough to be ok. Yeah well hopefully my recap help you catch up with it all. So many games. So if any models are going to be, why haven’t brought my content. I go video games lol. Sure they’ll understand lol. @chroi Yeah I just hope EA doesn’t fuck it up. It does look promising. I hope it’s good. We can do a good Star Wars after a couple of crap ones!
