I may have a broken ankle, it's at least severly twisted/sprained. I was running through Brown Hall during and after class (it's too tempting during Summer classes when the building is empty) and I slipped on the stairs and turned it the wrong way. The funniest part is that I was running down to the first floor to get some M&Ms from the vending machine....

Brown usually is pretty damn barren during the summer. I can understand the desire to run through the halls.
After I boxed in my ductwork with plywood in the basement I spent most of the day working on my website for the College of Education. Yeah, I'm a WMU student. If you can find my website, you get a prize...
There was a girl at the wedding reception (not my "date,") who moved like... poetry.
She was kinda short and thin, but her body wasn't starved. Lean and taut. She was wearing a tight red dress and she moved so beautifully... She danced like some sort of erotic goddess... Absolutely beautiful. In my life I have only seen 2 other women who could move like...

Another Friday has come and is on its way down the drain. It's easy to lose track of the days when you don't have a job to pin you to Monday through Friday like a moth in a specimen box. I have a wedding to attend tomorrow. It's the friend of a friend, and I'm a date. I guess any excuse to wear my suit...

I like girls. I like them a lot. They're nice to look at and smell and feel...
Women are like flowers...

I long to touch
my fingers through
your cheek so soft
a pale pink red
I long to caress
let my fingertips read
the story of you
written all over your body

_sarah_:
Why, thank you.
He lives down the block, so it's convenient. I want my OWN shower, though.
Are you coming camping with us this weekend? I can't remember.

Pansy Division does the best version of that song. I'll play it for you sometime.
I forgot about the IBS. Is it only when you eat dairy or when you're stressed? If it's dairy, I have pills.
We'll also be in a big backyard, not a camping site, so bathrooms are available and nearby.

I have nothing good to add, except that my infantile crush sends me into spirals of ecstasy when she says my name...
Here is another poem of mine... If somebody prods me a little I might have the balls to go to Kraftbrau on a Tuesday night and share it

I should go. I haven't been to a poetry night since they were at Dirty's back in the late 90s.
nopantsdave:
If by "play the accordion" you mean I consciously play a progression of notes that make up a song....then no. But if you mean I own one and I put it on and randomly hit keys...then yes. I have no clue what I am doing on it, but I love the sound and it cheers me up to fuck around on it.
Today marks the first day that I've ever slept ten hours... I guess I was tired. Today's word is still lethargy. I have so much reading to do tonight before class that it is a little overwelming, and I don't feel like doing any of it. I was supposed to read a book that I was supposed to pick up outside of class, but Barnes...

What class do you have tonight, and which book didn't come in? I might own it.
_sarah_:
Nope. I don't have that. I thought you might need a novel or something.
Earthy beige and green... sounds lovely. The purple sectional probably looks great!

I'm naked, sweaty and exhausted....
I've spent most of the last 4 days painting, roofing, doing drywall, hanging ceilings and sundry other things that have left me dirty and tired as as a five dollar whore on a Friday night. A long hot shower is calling my name.
I'm too tired to be depressed. Yay.

Purple and green can look lovely together, but not if you do it every other wall.
Sorry about the IBS. I'm lactose intolerant, so I feel your pain.

I will say this much, working with my dad and brother is a lesson in perseverence. Neither one of them has ever found a task they couldn't handle. They will find a way to get it done...
I'm not that way, at least not when working with my hands. My place is more of an abstraction, more ephemeral...
or I'm just plain lazy when compared...

Are you coming camping with SGKazoo and SGDetroit this weekend?
I suppose when life seems empty and your own thoughts echo through your head like a shout in a church you're bound to beat yourself up. That support system of friends that so many take for granted is always conspicuous by its absence when you're stuck in your own head with no one else to give you a different perspective. I'd like to thank Bathory...

I've been feeling lost and disconnected. I hate being this way. The utter helplessness of being either unable or unwilling to touch anything meaningful... I can't even write. Usually I could find some solace in writing some poetry... not lately...
Anybody know how to hang a suspended ceiling...?

bathory:
it was a difficult task...but i was determined. * starts glowing*
aw, why do you feel lost and disconnected?
i was this way not so long ago. i hate not being able to write in a state like that. it really is close to the worst feeling ever. hmm...let me remember what got me out of it.
i think it was
1) all the awesome support from all of my friends (on SG and off)
2) buying a cd that id never heard of (which, i believe, was a members suggestion)
3) going out walking around and noticing how greatful i should be to have what i do. and just the pure feeling of independence ALWAYS helps me.
hope it helps you.

Many people seem to have forgotten that patriotism can involve not supporting the current regime. Patriotism is to do what's best for the nation as a people, not for the upper class, or for those who own business and industry. If shows of patriotism did not include dissension for some or all of the government's policies, we'd still be celebrating the Queen's birthday and pledging...
