I saw a flier in NE Portland today that really pissed me off. It was just a big picture of a black man with a chain thing around his neck and it saud "REPERATIONS" really big across the bottom.
Have you been made to feel so guilty about something that had nothing to do with you, that happened hundreds of years ago (and quite possibly happened to your own family too, but you'd never hear about it or get fucking MONEY because of it) that you feel my being pissed off by that is in and of itself offensive?

If someone is trying to make you feel guilty by saying that whites enslaved the blacks, they are racist and ignorant.
Slavery is a much larger issue than just what happened in the US pre-civil war.

kudra, the united states government is responsible for some seriously fucked up shit. So are the governments of every other country on earth. Reparations are the peoples way of calling governments on their shit, and keeping them half assed in line.
