Hi there SG land!
I am a huge pet lover. I have a bunny Zelda and a chinchilla Pippin. Unfortunately I cannot afford having a cat or a dog because in fact it is my mom who's the legal owner of the appartment me and hubby are living in and she is strictly against it.
Hubby works as a plumber in the suburbs of our town. At his work place there lives a cat. The boss found her on the street in winter. Her previous owners must have thrown her away from home☹ He brought the cat to the place of their work and it became the cat's (Marusya is her name) new home.
In May the cat gave birth to three kitten. The plumbers were furious. They didn't want any kitten there. They wanted to drown the newborn kitten but hubby saved them. We promised instead to make cat sterilization for Marusya.
We couldn't afford to pay for the sterilisation ourselves (we are going through serious financial troubles this summer) but the kindest wonderful people from our local animal lovers social media group helped us and we collected the necessary money together. So last Sundau Marusya had a surgery and stayed at our place for after-surgery care.
She is such a brave kitty! She went through the surgery well. She was missing her kitten who stayed at the hubby's work place and meowing a lot first, but then she got used to living at our place! She is very affectionate, she follows us everywhere. And she has some special love for my husband, she always sleeps with him (though it's me who feeds her and gives her medicine!!!).
She is so lovely. She is going back home on Monday I suppose and I am sad on the one hand. I will miss her. But on the other hand she is a bad kitty sometimes😁 She stole the whole freshly baked chicken from the table a couple days ago (it was going to be a surprise romantic dinner for hubby😭) and she bit my chinchilla Pippin, chased him all around the flat and scared him to death so that he hid and we couldn't get him out for 24 hours. She hasn't also got on well with Zelda the bunny who's pretty agressive and timid. So for Zelda and Pippin it will be a relief when Marusya leaves. Oh but I will miss the cutie still!
