Slowly gaining friends. Well, have one now. I'm so lame. Haven't actively pursued anyone, just been commenting on journals and posting boards. Any one interested in the arts, books, movies, and whatever else want to be my friend?
The Urban Institue for Contemporary Arts just sent me an email for a submission request. I guess I should send them another $20, wait six months, and see if they like any of my newer work. I did apply to them nearly a year ago, and they didn't take the work at the time. They might take my newer pieces, seeing as how once again my style and execution has completly changed. The chances are more likely that I'll submit, wait until May (when they said they would notify me by) and they would say no. Grrr.... But, do what I have to do. I still want to submit to the Chicago museum of Contemporary arts too, but that one is just for a lark. I know I won't get in there.
Gonna paint today. I got a few ideas I want to play with. I hope Trevor doesn't feel bad again all day like he was yesterday. Fucking weather... it's screwing both of us up... Fucking cold. It's still September, and it's already bitter cold here. Not looking forward to the heating bill this winter. Last year it was three times higher than it had been in our old apartment, now it's barely payable, and I am unemployed. And the sad thing is, the house was never warm. We kept it at 60 degrees, because it was pointless to turn it up higher, the house never warmed up. The only solution was to pile on lots of clothing and blankets, snuggle with the cats so they didn't suffer, and hope that my paints didn't freeze. That would suck so much, paints are fricken pricy! Good thing we have a hot water pot!
Mmmmm... on to eat, and then paint paint paint. paint all day!
