SO it is Wednesday and I feel the need to update...
My little one got poison ivy, but not the regular way. He was camping with the Boy Scouts. Yes I said Boy Scouts; we are giving them a try "with open eyes". Our position on their dumb "no gay leader" is WELL KNOWN. If we see anything we don't trust or like about it... we are so out of there!
Anyway, back to the poison ivy story...
They had a huge fire, as boy scouts do, and some poison ivy must have been on the wood, because he came home with a strange red rash on his legs that spread with in hours to his face, and arms.
After a visit to the doctor, he is on Benedril and now feels much better.
Other than that, life has been "normal" well as normal as it gets!!
Girls' weekend fun planned for me! The guys are out of town together, and so we celebrate, I mean commiserate together!

My uncle was burning some lawn trimmings, and did the same thing. . . except that he inhaled the smoke and GOT POISON IVY IN HIS LUNGS!!!
That story always reminds me of the Steven Wright bit: "I went camping the my girlfriend Rachel, and I don't know how she did it, but Rachel got poison ivy on her brain.
The only way she can scratch is if she thinks about sandpaper..."
