Well, my Valentines Day wasn't great in the traditional sense, but it was fun. My sister came home from her college for the weekend and we hung out with her boyfriend and some other friends down at the arcarde. While they mostly used the DDR I was all about the shooting games.

After that we all went got Wendy's for dinner and piled into my room to watch Eddie Izzards' "Dress To Kill". Fun times. biggrin

I'm just glad that I got to be with friends to be with last night. I wasn't looking forward to another night alone in the house. Valentines Day is much less depressing when you at least can be with friends.

In all my life I have only had one Happy Valentines day, and it was way back when I was 19 years old and had a girlfriend. I remember it very well, I took her out to a good local Mexican resteraunt and we had a great time. Aside from that night and last night, all the other Valentines Days were spent in my room listening to music, writing, and/or staring at the cieling.

Right now, I'm going to try working on my next story. Yes, it's about another girl. It's gotten up to the part where I get the dreaded "you're a sweet guy but...." speech; so now things are going to be getting much more difficult.

On a side note: have you ever found out that someone you had a crush on was gay? I once had that happen and was quite bummed of course. But then I realized something: it's better for that to happen than to get a "you're a nice person but...". Think about it, when you get a rejection like that you look at yourself and wonder what it was that you didn't have for that person to want you back. However this was different. I realized that I had no chance at dating her wasn't because of my looks or whatever, it was beacuse I was a GUY!

I turned the whole thing around in my head. It was no longer "damn, I'm not gonna go out with that cute girl with the long brown hair and blue eyes", it was now: "Hey! I don't have to hear that 'You're a sweet guy but...' speech! YES!"

Perspective my friends, it's all about perspective.

six of them..thank you very much..but then again I always fall madly in love with gay men. My therapist says its a fear of taking risks...Im beginning to wonder though...glad you had a decent v-day.
Mine was better than some. I got two roses and a pink doughnut...and napped periodically smile

I love wearing my "Dress to Kill" t-shirt. I get a lot of strange reactions to the "God Dress America" text on the back.
biggrin tongue

And I've actually given the "Sorry, I'm gay" speech to guys. It isn't pleasant. It's even worse when they act disgusted about it.
