Another year another Rhythm and Grooves Festival
This one coincided with my birthday which was fabulous....had a wonderful time connecting with old friends and making magical musical merriment together....we crewed the festival dressed as pirates .

falling into negativity...
I'm a victim of that myself. I think most people are. Last year around this time I went into therapy. I stopped going in January. That short stint taught me a lot about myself. I've become a lot more self aware. I think self awareness is really important when you fall pray to negativity again and again. You can catch yourself crawling through the rabbit hole and stop dead in your tracks and repair yourself with minimal damage.
That's what I've been doing for months and the more practice I get the better at it I become. It definitely helps having people tell you how great you are in a myriad of ways. If they can see it, they can't all be wrong.
Right?

So summer is slowly coming to an end...Mrs Kpan went back to work yesterday...my son is back at college tomorrow and my daughter is moving to Glasgow next week....Reality is biting...Me...I am still kinda in holiday mode...mooching about a bit...Today I did housework...am alsO doing lots of cooking which I like...my work will begin to pick up again mid Sept so I will chill until...

So am back from a gig for 400 sixth form students followed by 4 daze at the Small Nations Festival......am exhausted but happy....took my son Lewis to work with me at both gigs so we had some well cool father and son time....he laerned how to set up for a 200 person circle, how to work through a festival with no sleep

Mmmm, I've never tried medium format before. It looks really neat though... I'd like to give it a shot. Business is ok - my Mac crapped out on me on Monday, so I can't process any photos until it gets back. Kind of a bummer, but my husband is on holidays this week so we've had the chance to hang out during the day, instead of just after work. Thats nice!!
