I am going to Teplick for my free consultation on Wednesday to see if I am a good candidate for LASIK surgery. I am pretty sure I am because my opt. has always said that I am.
I really can't wait to be able to just wake up & see. No fussing with stubborn contacts with tired eyes. No more taking out contacts, cleaning them, then putting them back in all day because they won't ever sit on my eyes right. No more having to pull the car over all the time to fuck with my contacts or glasses. I can't imagine just driving straight to somewhere, without stopping for that! No more glasses that make my nose sore & sweaty. No more not being about to see street signs & menus at fast food places, No more people saying "Look! Isn't that cool!?!" & me saying "What? I can't see it!" No more dropping my glasses or contacts & not being able to find them because I am too damn blind... that would all be so very strange, but so cool! My eyesight has always only been able to be corrected to 20/40 WITH contacts or glasses (my actual eyesight is something like 20/900, nope that is NOT a typo... yes, my eyesight is actually about twenty/nine-HUNDRED). I wonder if seeing any better, like 20/20, would give me a headache?
I also found out my cat has hypoglycemia, which is rare. I am putting sugar in her food to get her sugar level up. She is now running around like a kitten & driving me crazy... but I am glad she is better... although her leg is not.
