I just got off the phone with ST. HELENS DENTAL CARE. The conversation went like this...
ST. HELENS DENTAL CARE: Hi. I just wanted to check up on you & make sure that you got the names & numbers of the IV sedation dentists we gave you. Have you called them yet?
ME: No, I only have one brocure here about dental implants.
ST. HELENS DENTAL CARE: Oh, they do cavity fillings too with IV sedation. There should be two brocures though. Plus, you could try the place in Rainier. We don't have the number but I know there is a billboard up next to the Humane Society.
ME: Ok, but I have had terrible experiences with IV sedation & I always wake up during the procedure & it is really creepy. I am more scared of IV sedation then of the fillings & shots. Could I just try getting the filling done again. Maybe without medication since that isn't working anyway. I think I had a bad reaction to the Ativan yesterday. I still feel nauseous & sick & I feel like I am hungover pretty bad.
ST. HELENS DENTAL CARE: Yes, I think you did have a bad reaction. Definately. It says here that you had a bad reaction last time too.
ME: No one told me that I had a bad reaction. I don't remember that whole day, so I don't know about that. Why did they prescribe it again if they knew I had a bad reaction?
ST. HELENS DENTAL CARE: I don't know. But, those have been known to cause a side effect of depression.
ME: Well, I have diagnosised chronic depression.
ST. HELENS DENTAL CARE: You do?!!!
ME: Yes. It is written right there in all that paperwork you gave me.
ST. HELENS DENTAL CARE: It is?!
ME: Along with my anxiety problems too.
ST. HELENS DENTAL CARE: Oh... ummm... well, I don't know. But, DR. ELLIOT told me that we can continue to do your cleanings, but we will not be doing any more treatment for you.
ME: So, you don't want to see me again because I had a bad reation to a medication YOU prescribed me even after you knew it effected me badly last time?
ST. HELENS DENTAL CARE: Yes.
ME: You don't have much patience for your clients & that really sucks. Don't take this personally, because you had nothing to do with this yourself, but I think those people in that office are a bunch of fucking assholes to cut me out like that for something that was their own fault.
ST. HELENS DENTAL CARE: I think we had pleanty of patience with you. You were here yesterday for an hour & 15 mintues when the whole thing should have only taken 30 minutes. I think that makes it clear how much patience we had with you!
ME: Well, no one ever died of cavities so I will take my business elsewhere & I will tell everyone I know just how patient you fuckers are.
