Good Mornin SG!
Just woke up and I'm bumming in bed on the laptop so I figured I'd drop you all a few lines. Yes I am aware that it's almost noon so not really considered morning but oh well.
So that snake that I got a few days ago wasn't doing so good apparently. My friend knows a bunch of shit about snakes cause he has 4 of them so he came over to see her and said that I needed to have her looked at right then. So we all went up to this place called the enclosure. I guess this guy who owns all these exotic birds and reptiles owns it and has them on display and they have some for sale and whatnot...pretty neat store BTW. Well we get there and I take Dahlia out of her little popcorn box and hand her to the guy so he can look at her. He seriously looked at me like I handed him an old string cheese. He basically said that the conditions in her tank weren't so great and that because of it she got really dehydrated, which led to an infection in her belly, which led to her not being able to eat and on and on. I only had Dahlia for 2 or 3 days but when he told me I just started crying like a toddler cause he said it would be best to euthanize her
So poor little Dahlia didn't leave the store with me last night. I was so upset that I bought a new snake from that place, which was $75 I don't really have to spend but I did anyways cause I was so upset. It's so weird how different this new snake is. She's completely healthy and moves around a lot more. I hope this one goes ok.
In other news, one of my best friends is in the army and he just came home from Iraq a few weeks ago. He got to come home for about a month and he just left to go back to Texas this morning. I'm really bummed that the time with him went so fast. I hate not knowing when I'm going to get to see him again. He said he probably won't be home to visit again until the end of next year at the soonest. It really sucks having a best friend in the army cause I miss him so much but I guess if he's doing what makes him happy then I should try to be ok with it...still stinks though
