Perspective...
As UA 947 roars into the sunrise, I look down to see Amsterdam growing smaller and smaller - it is mesmerizing to see the city from above - the grachts and parks, rowhouses and squares dividing the city up into little chunks of shape and color. I am flying to Los Angeles - home, although I have denied its place in my heart for years, it still skips a beat when I look down from the window and see the pacific. I am going to the beach to throw some symbols of my old life away, to finally end this.
