I like my new computer a lot. 512 RAM, expandable to 2 Gigs. DVD+RW as well as CD+RW. I can finally play all the games that have been taunting me on the store shelves.
Got my taxes done over the weekend. Getting back a lot more than I thought. Enough for a new computer and catch up on all of my bills. The computer I'm looking at has a DVD writer so I'm looking forward to that. I can finally burn all my Damned and Nick Cave videos to DVD!!!

Thank you to those above for voicing support, however my mind is made up. I don't know how many of you went back in my journal to see what was going on, but my returning to lurker mode is not just because of what happened with Maxx and Roman numeral girl (sorry, too lazy to go look it up), but it was the deciding factor.
What was intended as a plea for friendship and a realization that I have a problem connecting with other people somehow got turned into me being an asshole and being asked to stay away from the SGLA people. I don't know if something that I had said was taken offensively or if there was a pre-existing problem with me that I wasn't aware of. At any rate, it only served to compound my issues.
Perhaps Maxx and Roman numeral girl have never found themselves in a situation where they were virtually friendless, and for their sake I hope they never do. If so, I hope they have better luck than I did because truthfully, it fucking sucks.
I'll continue to post in and update my journal.

Maxx and DCLXVI, I'm not quite sure how it escalated to this point, but if staying away is what you prefer then I shall abide by those wishes. I'm sorry if you took any of my comments offensive. As I had previously stated, I was merely expressing some concern about attending an SGLA event. It was not my intention to come off as abrasive nor to antagonize in any way, and I apologize if that was the result.
Perhaps my reply to DCLXVI's comment above was out of line, but I was upset about what I read and it was highly unexpected. We had been rather pleasant to each other up to that point.
At any rate, two people (perhaps more by now) who already have something against me is enough to keep me from attending any SGLA event. I apologize for any inconvienence this incident has caused and I hope we can just put this behind us and move on.

I'm glad Xmas is finally over. Not too much longer until the end of the year.
I've been thinking about the past year and everything that occured.
A lot has happened, both good and bad. My mother having a stroke, gf getting pregnant then losing the baby, becoming a home owner.
Looking back at everything I have come to one conclusion...I'm doing alright.
