Long time, no post... Saw a Q&A about engaging with SG for the first time. Felt inspired to weigh in. I read about SG in a free NYC paper (actual PAPER) in a Village burrito place and signed up on my desktop when I got home. I'm bad with dates but it must have been early 2002/3? I came to the community as Whineluvr and was accepted and welcomed in a way no other "social" media site has.. Then it all started to change. Many of my friends moved to MySpace and then, god forbid Facebook. While I did make lasting relationships on both platforms, I've also stayed in touch and follow OG SG peeps to this day even on TT. I'm still here but am aging out. There are echos of our SG past which gives me hope for others to experience an SG future that I can't envision... XOW
