today was spent avoiding little ones
I hung around my room and pretended to be asleep, til mom brought the car home

then I went to White Plains and got some guitar strings and a ton of ramen

(by the way. . . .doesn't it seem fucked up to have to go like 3 fucking towns over to buy guitar strings?? We really have NOTHING around here. . . .NOTHING. . .AT. . .ALL .. . figures, that's why I've been listening to "kerosene" by Big Black so much. I even lapse into quoting that song around people at work. . .I mean damn. . . .)

I used to have to travel 20 miles to get strings, but I noticed yesterday there is a music shop next to my house. Odd. Even more ironic, I rarely, if ever, get the guitar out to make noise these days.

And I know the feeling, i.e. Kerosene. Though I usually quote just to offend people with thin skin. It's amusing the look of horror and concern that will come to somebody's face only seconds after they were smiling.
