I'm strangely excited about my upcoming birthday. It's not been something I've ever really gotten excited about, but for some reason 23 just happens to be the year that is doing it for me. Maybe it's because things are so tight right now, I'm really looking forward to the excuse to pamper myself a bit. Mmm.... birthday cake.... Mmm... birthday booze... Mmmm.... birthday sex.... Ok,...

What if Jesus was a crazy guy who started a cult that just happened to live on and become really popular after he died? What would Christianity be like today? Oh, wait.

Oooh. Tipping well. Possibly the most obvious advice. Makes for better acquaintance, a deeper, more beloved impression.
I tip my hat to you for giving that advice, then.

Not a real journal entry, but I'll make it ok.
I found out today that my ex husband knows about this whole being naked on the internet thing, and (I am told) is pissed off as hell.
^_^
Not that that's why I'm doing this, but it makes me soo oozy happy to know that something I happen to love *isn't* something he's happy about...

I am in a complete ex-husband-hate place right now (see my journal), so I can totally feel you, girl! Keep it up...
So, since I got fired from my old job, and started working two jobs, it's been really hard for me to find time and money and things where I can just go out and have a good time. Such things have happened, this past month or more, but they are regrettably rare and diminished.
Thank FUCK that's over! I met Lufy in teh real life...

Thank you for sharing your boobs with us.
You know what's great? Ambition to do stuff. Best ever. I finally worked up the ambition to clean my room, and already it's to a point where I'm not totally ashamed of it! This room hasn't been so clean since I started moving in a month ago - I was never able to get to that point of Moved In and Organized. It went straight...

Sorry, had to get that out of my system. It'll still be running around in my head for the next five or six hours, but meh.

Oh, right. I remember when you wrote about losing your job. So that was the place that did it to you......bastards.
I appreciate the info. If you're bored the evening of June 8th, you could always play a game of "Where in the world is Lufy Sandiego". I'll be the slightly dazed traveler wandering around downtown Brookings, photo equipment in tow.

Dear Kleio,
My first and if truth be told, the only SG friend I may need...Oh vision of most gracious northern "exposure", you uplift and entertain with your smile and your charms...You excite and encourage me to run around naked in the snow...but for now, I must let you run alone...Anyway, thanks for the updated pictures...The lighting was fine...you would shine through the dusk regardless....

You're gorgeous! Love the photos!
I love having insomia when I'm staying at my boyfriend's place. It's so much easier to not freak out about the fact that I'm not sleeping when I can steal into the living room with something that I haven't read seventeen times over already, and just read.
That being said, I've been good to my word and started reading some earlier Uncanny X-Men comics. The...

After seeing X3, I have a strong desire to truly read the comics and see what really happens (not the hollywood version). I know some...but I just don't know where to start. Plus, there are so many variations (uncanny, ultimate, regular x-men, etc).
I'm not sure if i should just start up with the Dark Phoenix saga...or maybe go back farther so I can get a good foundation of what happened before that. Any suggestions?
Either way, I'm sure I'm in for many late nights catching up (if that is even possible).

Blake's probably seems off because he seems to be marvelling at the work of a creator, rather than the tiger itself. I never could develop much of an appreciation for those English romantic era poets, to be honest.
Did you ever see the documentary Grizzly Man? About a troubled guy who goes to live with grizzlies in Alaska and "save" them, and he and his girlfriend are tragically killed by a bear, eventually.
Anyway, thinking of Blake and his "Tyger" poem reminded me of something Grizzly Man filmmaker Werner Herzog says: "What haunts me, is that in all the faces of all the bears that Treadwell ever filmed, I discover no kinship, no understanding, no mercy. I see only the overwhelming indifference of nature. To me, there is no such thing as a secret world of the bears. [ shows a close-up of a bear's face ] This blank stare speaks only of a half-bored interest in food. But for Timothy Treadwell, this bear was a friend, a savior."

Like many many many people, I watched the third X-Men movie last night. It was enjoyable for me - ok, I was literally trembling through the second half of the rumpus at the end. I guess all I really have to say is that now I just want to read all of the comics, just so that I may hearken back to a time when...

I'm so sorry that you are in such a bad way, money-wise. I've been there; about 6 years ago I had a choice of moving back in with my born-again Christian mother, going across the country to meet a man I met on-line and be homeless. I made that cross-country trip and he and I have been together ever since. Still I have a idea of your stress-level right now. I'd offer you a place to stay if you weren't so far away and if it didn't sound so "stalkerish".
I saw X3 too and was rather let down by it. Maybe it was because X2 was so damn good. See, I never minded the little changes; ages of Rouge and Iceman, Rouge not having a Southern accent or her not being raised by Mystique, all of that I could accept for the sake of a good film. But X3 having people die and loose their powers right out of the blue, that is some bullhockery!!
Oh and as always, you are very beautiful!!

Aww, I just found out this morning that the name I'd hoped to use as my SG name has been chosen already. It's not a huge thing, because I prefer the more Greek spelling ( Clio verses Kleio) but still. Awwww... Good thing she's a damn cutie, I'll tell you that. Maybe Clio's first set will come up soon and we can all be happy....

Fuckin' A, babes... I am officially all the fuck out of that old fucking apartment. Still not quite all in this new place yet, but it's just a matter of getting crap out of my car, and unpacking, and whatnot. My bedroom looks like a disaster area... Ah, well. It should all get sorted out in this next week or so, depending on what my...
