As for the whole "paying your salaries" thing - I hope you never use that line when you talk to politicians. No offense, but it instantly makes you sound like... well, someone not worth listening to.
I was going to use a word or two, but you don't know me well enough, so you'd probably think I was actually saying it about you specifically, and I don't mean it that way.
I'm upset at the outcome of the election, and even more upset at the poor turnout. I'm so tired of people saying that their vote doesn't make a difference, or that all politicians are the same.
You all can go suck a bag of dicks. This fight isn't over. I'm not gonna go quietly into the night and settle down now that the election is over. I'm paying your fucking paycheques. You work for me, too. Get used to this face, because I'm going to be all up in yours.
I'm wondering about the whole "mixed bag" remark. It's apparent - HYPOTHETICALLY WRITING - that I would be doing all the grunt work, while you sit back and enjoy the laurels of my exasperated self.
More Friday night shinanigans forthcoming. So far I only have my cell phone pics. I'll get my camera pics on here a little later.
A short recap of my Friday:
- Stressed out all day about having a presentation for my Network Security class
- Did presentation, rocked it out
- Some classmates came over, so I made some taco dip, with tortilla chips and... Read More
Here are my answers to the questions I asked of you lovely peeps:
1. Are you gonna vote?
Hells, yeah.
2. If not, why not?
n/a
3. Is there anything that you think would encourage more people to care about politics?
If we felt like it made a difference. If most of our votes counted, even if our party didn't get elected. If we adoped... Read More
After Thursday night, I didn't want to do so much... I stayed around town and basically took it easy. Got some cool picto-texts while out from someone *coughcoughyoucough* and Willow... Chatted with some folks that I haven't chatted with in a while... Fired up the ol' camera and took some rather "bleh" photos... Went back home and entered SG Chat for a bit.
Just a few quick questions for anyone who cares to answer:
1. Are you gonna vote?
2. If not, why not?
3. Is there anything that you think would encourage more people to care about politics?
4. Do you think the election affects you?
5. Why (briefly) do you think you'll vote for a certain candidate/party?
3: Quit all the bullshit and lets talk about stuff they can actually do, and will do, and kill all the fucking commercials that are like ZOMG BARRACK IS A TERRORIST, ZOMG MCCAIN IS SO OLD AND DECREPIT, They're all just slanderous crap anyway.
Have debates where competent people ask questions. In fact, if they ask a stupid question, have them killed on the spot.
"Why don't you wear a flag pin?" Kill this person immediately.
"What are you going to do to help bring the economy back on its feet?" Good question. You shall live.
If the candidates get off topic, give them a shock from a stun gun. That will keep things simpler, and not have every question lead to ranting about change.
Take out the families.
Nobody cares that Palin's daughter loves to fuck without protection
Nobody cares that Mccain's wife drives drift cars.
Nobody cares that Obama's wife is anti-america.
They won't be running the country. The power to disagree with ones family is a powerful one.
If I think of more to rant about, I'll let you know.
Pizza will be here in 20 min
I have so much to do that I figure I'll waste a little more time on the interweb
I'm really not feeling school right now. I just can't get into it
I need some cuddles
And to touch my ding dong
My tattoo is itchy and awesome as hell

A dying breed though.
Less than 59% of people eligible to vote, did.
That's pathetic.

I used to be involved in politics, and occassionally someone would use the 'I'm paying your salary' line, and they always sounded like a lunatic.
Glad you're not a lunatic.
At least not that type.
You don't give your age here (though I could have sworn you used to), but yeah, I'm certainly older, or have a longer memory than you.
