Ok, so it's been a while...
I took this "what kind of Goth are you" test online...Apparently I'm an "Artsy Goth"......that's good enough for me.
So, what have I been up to lately? Not much. I went to the AAS meeting early this month. I was the first time I had been to Atlanta. The city was nice, much better than I thought it was going to be. Of course, I hadn't thought about it much. The meeting itself was a bit overwhelming; approx. 2000 astronomers talking about 1 X10^6 different topics at 5 min intervals. But I met alot of really cool people. I even met with some of the "big People" of some of the graduate commetties I am applying to. It may not get me in, but at least they know have a face to go with my application. Most of them were really impressed with my research also.
Besides all the business, I got to hang out with my fellow Hawaii REU'mates. If any of you are interested in astronomy, and want to move to hawaii for the summer, I would look in to their program. It was great seeing them again.
Lately I have just been working and trying to set time aside for friends. I went to this eroxa event at Rock-Island last friday to see my friend perform..I't was alright. My friend preformed great, but I was surprissed by the low attendence. I had a great time dancing though. I need to do that more often.
