Today I went into a place of worship voluntarily for the first time in my life. Today would have been my Dad's birthday. He died on 31 Jan 1995.
I have found it really hard this year. I miss him so much it hurts. People who say that they miss someone because they haven't seen them in few days, don't know the meaning of the word - try 12 years of missing someone, so much that it actually aches when you think about it. I went to the local Cathedral to light a candle for him, but ran out coz I didn't have a clue where to go or what to do
(but I have one lit for him now I am home - a nice vanilla scented one) I spent most of the day at the beach clearing my head and remembering him.

On the plus side I found the bestest sunglasses for 5!!

I lost my mum in 1992, I was 8, so I know how much it hurts. Sometimes you just want to sit around and chat to them.
