I had a small epiphany today on the way home from work that I was making myself crazy because I was all caught up in "doing it RIGHT" all of the time. Everything had to be right. Perfect. So somewhere along the line I stopped having fun and letting go.

It looks like it will be cooling off a little, and fall will actually be here soon. And weekend after next I'll be in Boston...so hopefully, my mood will improve.

God I hope so. I'm sick and tired of this piping hot, 90-degree feels-like-summer crap. Bring on the football weather!

Yes, get the hell out of NC!!!

According to my permaculture teacher, today is the vernal equinox (beginning of fall), and all forces are in harmonious balance. Why then, do I just want to fall over, crawl under a rock and got to sleep for a very, very long time? Lately it seems like everyday is just a little harder to get through than the last.

Ok...we definitely need to hang out. I'll call you closer to Wed. but I think going some place cheap would be good.

I don't really like going to the doctor or dentist. I had one in Alabama that was SOOOOO nice I know I'll never find another guy like him here. I'm almost willing to drive a few miles to find the right dentist.
living for weekend, so I can sit around and agonise about the next coming week.
kriss:
ahhh... sorry you have had a tough week.
BABY, THAT MOVIE ROCKS !!!!
I must own it!!
IT WILL BE MINE!

Shit. I just heard that one of my friends from college died in his sleep this weekend. Official cause of death still unknown. He was a beautiful, generous, fun-loving guy. Successful, married to his college sweetheart, living in Corsica, expecting a baby. Now he's gone.
Goodbye Ivan, we'll miss you!

what you want? one of my favorites as well.
Lets see... Bath and Body Beauty is still in my world. She is fun to work with, and fun to flirt with.
I understand how you feel... tragedy throws you into appreciation.
I hope you feel better soon...

That's just crazy... Not to sound morbid but I'd like to know the cause if it's ever found. I'm sorry he passed away...
As for the book, I actually thoroughly enjoyed it and understood at least 97% of it, haha
The thing that I think attracts me to it is mostly that I identify with Tereza, willing to put up with seemingly unbearable infidelity and hardships, and equally as much I'm attracted because Tomas reminds me of someone in my life. It seems like I understand my friend better after having read this. And maybe myself a little more too.
I could rant on and on, but thanks for the kudos from you attached to finishing this book. I'm almost there, only a few more chapters to go!

Okay, Idjiit, my love has been gone for 4 days, and I am only now going to start whining about it. Not that I haven't missed him, 'cause I HAVE!, but I was busy during the week, and so stupid tired I couldn't think. Now the weekend is here, and I am sitting here counting the hours until he and Stiles return, hopefully sometime...

Neko Case rocks my ever-loving world!!! I just discovered her today thanks to Vuokko!!! Thanks, V!
If you have heard Neko Case, you know of the power that I speak. (I freakin' welled up while sitting in my car!!) If you haven't heard her, go now! Go now and listen! If you grew up listening to Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynn like I did...

Hey baby, just wanted to say I love you and miss you and can't wait to see you again. Things are still going well. We're heading back to Mississippi today to hit some of the smaller towns and will be going to Biloxi to see the Church I told you about a while back - cylindrical, amazing stained glass. Well, apparently the stained glass is now scattered across the gulf coast.
Want to get photos of it since it's one of the few things I would have before/after photos of.
We'll probably stay around Biloxi tonight and head back to the first town we went to in AL tomorrow. We'll be heading home tomorrow as well and will most likely be back in Raleigh sometime Sunday.

BTW, you are absolutely friggin' gorgeous. Every time I see that new profile photo, I get a big grin on my face.

woo,
what a weekend. 2nd Friday in Chapel Hill with the SGNC gang, including many new members! Yay! Then Perla's birthday bowling bash last night. The fun has just got to stop!! And it has. Today is yardwork, housework, homework day.
no rest for these weary bones.
But thanks again to the lovely folks of SGNC for making a weekend so pleasureable, once again!

Idjiit and I want to build our own cool environmentally friendly house! Well, maybe not right now. But we're going to start researching the how to's, and as soon as I graduate, get a jobby-job, and we know where we're living.....we're doing it! Go hippy permaculture!!!

I listen to NPR everday, and since we don't have cable, its my main source of news. Lately, listening to people in La talk about their suffering and being seperated from their loved ones, and being tired, hungry, hot and desperate is getting to me. I must have started crying 3 times today in my car. It just breaks my heart. Just the thought of...

Well shit,
I guess my last entry was boring or too "academic", or maybe even too hippie. well whatever, I'll share more when I know more. Unfortunately there ain't much new going on. That's how it is when school's in. I go to schoolm then I go to work, then I drive to the store, then I come home and make dinner, do homework, see...

Gas sold out here in most places...and where it was still available it was almost $4 a gallon. Damn.
I'm trying to get to NC the first weekend of October and once you and the Man are back I'm gonna drive over for a visit.
I wish school was starting Monday. Supposedly the Fella and I are on "Vacation" for the next week. But now I'm trashed and it's 3:20pm and damn...drinking and smoking in the afternoon is just Fucked.

hey, some of us academics like that.
This semester I am taking a permaculture class. It is the coolest fucking thing!
"The solution from a permaculture perspective is to introduce design into agriculture in order to create permanent high-yielding agricultural ecosystems, so that humans can thrive on as little land as possible, thus leaving as much land as possible as wilderness, if necessary helping the wilderness re-establish itself. This visionary global mission...

That does sound pretty interesting. mrMiah met this girl a couple of weeks ago who travels around teaching people how to build homes with the natural things in their environment or something like that. i.e. mud, corn husk, glass. i'll have to get her website from him and give it you. It seems pretty interesting. That has nothing to do with permaculture but I just wanted to share.
