the wet sunshine of this afternoon hangs on me like a net. i'm trying to stay upright in the deep sucking red clay. a mud so thick a popping noise follows everyone of my footsteps.

this day i see the thunderbird floating above me. i see the arc of the electric noon shooting thru my retinas to the back of my humid mind.
