Another dream that has my head swirling the next day.
New York City streets are black and gray. Tonight they are orange.
Tonight. I see Miles Davis in a bloody pool outside a bar.
Tonight. He talks to me and blames white america for all that has happened to him this night. (he was beaten by a drunken cop)
Tonight. I tell him that I'm so sorry it had to happen to him. It's the nature of others (esp. white america) to find the beauty and steal it. Calling it their own, the country waters it down and sends it out to the masses.
Tonight. Miles wipes the blood from his forehead and wipes it on my mouth, Annointed by the man who rebirthed the cool and cooked it up in a bitches brew.
Today. I'm dying of a headache and the wonders of my own twisted dream cycles.

feeling better about things, finally. hope you are too. had this weekend off, went to see lord of the rings downtown last night.
