i'm borrowing my uncle's laptop right now, so i can't stay long and retun all the comments.
i'm very much enjoying myself right now. i gave up on the bike yesterday. i had rode into haliburton (350km-ish) and my legs were killing me, so i relieved myself of the bike and started thumbing my way out here. it's much better on my knees.
i spent a couple nights in the bush, pitched my tent in a forest off the highway. and on thursday when i arrived in haliburton i called my dad on the phone to let him know i was still alive. i didn't know it at the time, but there were these two girls watching me from across the street and when i hung up the phone they came over to me and we talked for a bit. then they invied me to go swimming with them, so i did. i ended up spending the entire day with them, we went out and got drunk that night and i crashed at their place, good times with random people
friday morning i couldn't ride anymore, so i didn't. i made pretty good time hitching into ottawa. i called up my uncle and we went out fir dinner then later after his girlfriend went to work we went out with a couple of his buddies to a few bars and had a few drinks.
i'll spend a couple days here in ottawa i think, then i'll make my way over to montreal.
