I got home tonight and my fucking apartment had been fucking broken into. Took my black Gibson SG. Fucking loved that guitar. The guitar I would have never sold. If I was homeless I would be a homeless guy with an SG. Get it? IT'S FUCKING PRICELESS TO ME!!!!! YOU MOTHERFUCKING COWARD!!!!!!!!!!!
Also took a DV cam with partial footage of my best friend's wedding and my trip to LA. Both were in the last month. Keep the camera but send back the tape. FUCKER!!!!!!
A few years ago a friend was broken into but walked in on the guy. He and his roommate chased this guy down the street. Got a passerby to help, and someone ran to the cop shop two blocks away. Got the guy.
My friend got a letter saying the court date had been canelled due to the death of the defendant. He was a 40 something old junk addict with a record a mile long.
Whoever robbed me has already created their own hell that they will always suffer in. I choose to let it go and move on. It's just stuff, and it could have been worse. My cat could have escaped out the window, or I could have walked in on a desperate guy with a gun.
I never thought I'd be so happy to have cops come into my apartment.

That blows. Having things stolen from you feels like being violated. It's really awful. Sorry to hear about it. But you've got the right attitude - just move on. nothing else you can do.

That really sucks, sorry. But like you said its just stuff. You can always buy more stuff, but losing the tape is sad. I lost my camera in London, at the Westminster Abbey no less, with a whole role of film in it. I just sat on curb and cried for like 15min.
