My roasted vegetables turned out very bland. I don't know what it was. I did a garlic/oregano salt rub when they were raw, squeezed some lemon on them when they came out of the oven and tossed them with some balsamic and olive oil, but they were still so blah. Leeks, red onions, zucchini and... wait for it... eggplant. Oh well. I made some bitchin' lentil soup, so I'll build a fire, watch my rented copy of Lost in Translation and relax.
It is fucking insane outside. I was out running errands and doing diction work and at one point I walked down my path, came back less than half an hour later and my foot prints were completely covered. I love snow, but not when I have things to do. Also, I should really dig out my mittens and earmuffs, since I love walking outside and hate having my fun spoiled by frostbite. I have been doing a lot of walking lately, though. I love Toronto, so when I go anywhere, I always try to walk back, which gives me a great opportunity to go through the great neighbourhoods. Little Italy, Kensington, Chinatown East/West, Bloor West Village, the Annex... I love having to do things all over the city.
I recently found out that my cat Monty's real name is Kevin. I found his innoculation forms and found out that Kevin had been his name. I prefer Monty, though. He is named so because he is both evil and has the 3 noggin liver spots of Mr. C. Montgomery Burns. And this is such a steal from my Cats Group post. Oh well. You can see a picture of the sleeping beast in the white cats album. He's so freakin' cute.

I actually totally gave up on trying to make succulent veggies 'cause no matter what I did them in, they always came out bland. I've noticed that spicing them after they are cooked tends to keep the flavour around.
And lemme tell you ... growing up in Scarborough, I kinda led a sheltered life. Going to Scarborough Town Centre was an outing for me.
But when I started dating ... my girlfriends happened to live all over the city (that sentence makes it sound like I had many at once ... which isn't true ... I just can't think of a way to make that sound any better.) so I got to experience it all.
From Main and Danforth to Lakeshore and Kipling to Yonge and Lawrence to Jane and Finch to King and Roncessvales.
I'll completely agree with you hon ... the city is amazingly beautiful.
I adore walking through Bloor West Village. It is such a surreal place for me ... people out walking and talking to everyone they see ... the smells and sound and sights ...
Thanks hon ... thanks for bringing a smile to my face. It's good to know others adore the city as much as I do. *huggles*
