today is my roomie, thurmis's bday .. he's turning 23 today.. i remember when i was 23..... 
i was in the midst of buying my first house... oh how time flies... now go wish him a happy birthday!
Amongst other things in the news... Did anyone here about that 24 year old Grad Student that was found over this past weekend in NY?
She went missing on Saturday night & was found Sunday morning. She was raped, tortured and suffocated. Some of the torture marks found on her body are said to resemble ritualistic torture. They're saying they believe she was tortured and slowly suffocated for several hours before she finally died.
My heart goes out to her family.. having experienced a brutal death in my own life, its difficult for me not to feel pained sympathy for this girl's family. Please send them positive energy.. they're going to need it.
