; Ya girl is back with another little important thing! Originally shared on FB&IG , but SG is such an awesome community, I figure itll resonate here too xo .
The only editing I've done to the leg photo is sharpening it so that yall can really see all the little details. No editing on facial photo.
These are my thighs, hips, and legs! In this photo, you can see Stretch Marks, regrowing pubic stubble, some veins, possibly a bruise and scars (sorta, on my ankle). This is my face, with no makeup, no editing and unflattering light. In it, you can see my freckles, lines under my eyes, some blemishes, and discoloration.
And all these things are okay, and normal, and should not be pointed out as flaws or gross or wrong. Especially as the warm weather approaches.
I personally enjoy being hairless all over, as often as possible. However. That shit is time consuming, tedious, and sometimes teetering on dangerous! Leave peoples body hair alone.
I've had stretch marks since puberty hit me. Most people have them, in many places, for multiple reasons, and can be more prominently visible than mine. Dont be a jerk about it.
Scars are a part of life! Lots of mine are from mosquito bites. Some are from self harm. Some are from piercings! Some are scrapes and scratches from just general happenings of life. Same with the bruises! Dont be a jerk about it.
Makeup is meant to be a tool used to amplify and express in whatever way suits us. It is not a requirement/obligation. Neither is porcelain-doll skin. We have all dealt with break outs, facial hair, marks and bumps and countless other things. And everyone handles it differently. Dont be a jerk about it.
Included in this: Fuck fatphobia and ableism. Fat people and people with disabilities deserve to feel free and accepted wearing clothes that make them feel fabulous and cute and comfortable. Yes, revealing outfits included.
Similarly!
People should feel just as free to remain covered and still feel accepted. Not everyone feels empowered or comfortable baring as much skin as others. Dont be a jerk about it.
Bodies are marvelous vessels for us to experience the world we live in. And every body, every person is different. Dont be a jerk about it. , * .
