Hi kids, it's pig time, and there's only one thing you need to do when it's pig time.
*scratch* FUCK IT UP PIGFACE

if anyone knows where that quote is from you are my soul mate.

Ok. I have this friend who hates himself. i am quasi-dating this girl who hates herself to a lesser degree than friend A. Going from hanging with him at...

Hmm, not a lot of tragedy in my life. I've had a history of doing stupid things while drunk, but nothing too tragic.
My dad rode his motorcycle into a tree while drunk, that was kind of rough (especially on him!)

Although I think spooning with that pug would be pretty tragic!

i got a really cool chair tonight. it was going into surplus cos some professor left it in the hall for like three months. surplus = a warehouse for three months and then to Salvation Army. F that!!

I don't want to be Gimli because he looks like my biker uncle from Oregon, and I hate my uncle.

BTW, the movie Gimli and the book Gimli are completely different, that one of the reasons I didn't really like the latest LOTR film. They made it into Hollywood formula crap.

So I'm a nerd, big deal.

no, not really. but a huge group of my friends are mormon and I have a stack of them in my closet all with little dedication and hopes for me so I'll stop asking them questions. I'm just really curious about religion, please don't hit me.

I want a girl who is far away. I can't let myself get sad over her. Rather, I gotta not think so hard or i'll get sick over it.

Oh, right. I have...

Hey yay, I'm on someone's friend list! Neato! Anyhoo, I did a double take when you mentioned Marclay...I recently caught a show with DJ Olive, a simultaneous improv. While Marclay was certainly impressive (and his table skills are both visually and aurally pleasing) at the show, I came away more an Olive fan...maybe it just worked in context, as his contribution was a la minimalism more than bombast. Want a REALLY good larf? You mentioned Ondes Martenot, etc. Well, today in class, we covered the Beach Boys, so all of those unsuspecting undergrads were given a taste of "wierd". Soon we'll cover Stockhausen and the Beatles.

Been to any good installations lately? Do you get many in UT?

Are you experiencing a good day? Can you appreciate it now, in full knowledge of its transient nature, and welcome its inevitable passing?

So I lost my keys. I felt so lost for about twenty minutes. I remembered every place i went and found them - sitting on the bench like good litle boys and girls. I was so grateful. I accomplished two errands that...

Time to cut out the people in my life that make it tired and sad. I don't want to do it, but someone i hang out with almost every day is in that lot.

thought for the day:

disregarding all the opinions of others, even the teachings of _____ (Buddha, God, Shiva, etc.) - how do you want to express who you are?

lil_billy_ben:
I've had to exclude people from my life like that. It was hard. Given my druthers I would express myself by unibombing MTV, but due to legal limitations I think I'll go on expressing myself through words and playing pranks on my next store neighbors(did I spell that right?)

"when did Grace get so cynical?"

Ah, to live the life of Anthony in Bottlerocket. Get to live at a state mental hospital and hang with girls while getting a tan. Then you live with Bob in a sweet house. Then you get to meet Inez and be happy. Simple things for a simple life. That, my friends, is my American dream.

Someone asked me...

"frolic in brine...goblins be thine."

I get chills just writing that. Just saw "Ring", the original Japanese version. Yikety yikes and jiminy jillikers. I love how direct it was, focused on reaching a climax rather than the American version that sort of meandered and twisted the plot. Ok, can't talk about it. BOO ARGH

I totally agree with you on the whole 'Ring' thing. I saw the Japanese version first, and I thought it was way scarier. The new one had it's moments, but basically, it was too effing Hollywood. Throughout most of the movie, I uttered "Gimme a break" to myself over and over. SWEET JESUS!!
