Gentoo installation attempt #11 is now underway, and it's going quite well. This one should go as planned. If it somehow fucks up, though, I'll just take the easy way out for the time being by installing Kubuntu, instead.

God, I'm such a retard. It would seem as though I shouldn't have been so quick to write zeroes to my hard drive after thinking that my last attempt at installing Gentoo was completely fucked. From what a friend of mine told me at work today, it was actually a very easy (and quick) fix.

Gentoo is an unforgiving bitch. Time to start from scratch again.

Oh, but - on the plus side - this week is flying.

Holy shit! I finally have a working installation of Gentoo on my computer. Networking capabilities are fully in-tact, so I'm able to install everything that I need with a minimal amount of fuss. This time tomorrow, I should be using my computer.

Installing Gentooagain. But hey, that's no problem. It's compiling quite well, and everything is going according to plan. It's just that compiling takes so long, and I wanna use my computer now. This clunky, old-ass Quantex computer has a tendency to freeze for no apparent reason.

In other news, I watched "A Knight's Tale" today. Such a great movie. It's fucking disturbing...

I don't wanna go back to work tomorrow.

*sigh* Anyway, I spent pretty much all of today (and yesterday, for that matter) messing with my computer. Gentoo takes a long-ass time to compile itself. That's okay, thoughI'll just pop in a movie.

"Ferris Bueller's Day Off" will do nicely.

Well, I've reformatted my computer approximately 15-20 times in the last two weeks in my quest to find the ultimate Linux distro. I still haven't managed to get Gentoo working, although I do have the privilege of having gone through the entire installation.

For some reason, I'm super tired. I think it's time for bed.

Yay! I got outta work a little bit early today. I spent a bit of time picking up a birthday present for my [female] roommate. I ended up getting season one of "The Nanny" on DVD for her. I fucking hate Fran Drescher. And, as a male, it's kinda awkward explaining to a female cashier just why you're purchasing "The Nanny".
