Back in March, on my first day of work at CompUSA, I met a girl named Cathasaigh. Why am I bringing this up? Well, although I haven't spoken to her in quite a while, I do have one of her CD's. Her first, actually. It's called "Whispered Echoes". It's been a long time since I really listened to it.
I almost always leave Winamp playing overnight on my computer, shuffling through my entire playlist (consisting of 1152 songs) as I sleep. I normally don't even notice that it's still on whenever I wake up the next morning, as I'm typically too tired to pay it any mind.
However, this moring, I happened to wake up to one of Cathasaigh's songs, entitled "Liquid". Although I honestly don't know the lyrics, the music from the song was stuck in my head all day. Cathasaigh's voice is nothing short of heavenly
God, I wish she'd upload some fucking MP3's of her songs. It's a shame that many people won't have the privilege of hearing her perform.
Anyway, to make a long story short, hearing that song just made my morning.
In other news, I think a girl at work has a bit of a crush on me. In addition to the obvious staring, she happened to be talking to me in the warehouse. We were only talking about tagging merchandise, yet she sounded very enthusiastic. (She never sounds enthusiastic.) I was about to say, "Girl, how in God's name are you so enthusiastic? You work here."
Nonetheless, she seems like a nice girl. I don't like to read too much into how people act towards me, though, as it's come back to bite me in the ass many times in the past. I'll see what happens.
