STORY TIME!!

Fong Fu was an honest man who lived in a small village near Lhasa, he had a good job, a beautiful wife and two obedient and grateful children. He worked hard and honored his ancestors, but he wanted more. He wished with all his heart to be young forever. One day he heard of a very powerful shaolin monk who could realize what seamed imposible, so Fu went to the monastery where he lived and requested an audience. The monk was old, but looked young, and in his eyes you could see the infinite universe. His smile was full of peace and his hands were the hands of a man who worked with Earth.
-I hear you seek my help to reach a goal- said the monk -Yes old master- replied Fu -I've heard you kan make the impossible happen, and I implore your help. I wish to be young forever!- The monk closed his eyes and meditated for a few moments and then talked calmly. -I do not possess the secrets for eternal life, and nor I want to. Death is a path of life we are all meant to walk through in order to become immortal spirits. I do, however, possess the secret for making your life longer feeling young every day. It requires hard work and discipline, but I guarantee it will work. Do you want my secret?- Fu thought hard for a while and accepted the challenge. In the end if he could live longer, maybe he could find a way to live forever. -Very well- said the monk as he looked for something in a small wooden cabinet. He gave Fu a small cristal bottle with an amber colored liquid and one seed -Add two drops of this medicine to a glass of water and drink it slowly three times a day and plant this seed in your garden. It has been blessed by my old master so you'll have to do exactly what I say for the remedy to work. You'll have to take care of the plant yourself, you'll have to water it in drought season, protect it from the cold in winter and sing to it every morning. If you need help, you should only ask your wife or children to do it and nobody else, and you must be with them every time they help you take care of this plant. Do this for three months and come back to see me-
Fu left feeling confused, but determined to follow the monk's instructions, so he did. Three months later he went back to the monastery -Master, I've been following your instructions rigorously. Will I have a longer life now?- The monk smiled and replied sweetly -Patience is a virtue, you have only started. Come, let me see you - The monk checked Fu's eyes, vital signs and energy points and then talked -The medicine seams to be working, but now you'll have to help it a little. Staring tomorrow you'll eat more vegetables, you'll only eat pork once every two weeks, beef once a week, chicken twice a week and fish the rest of the days. Also, the medicine have a lot of minerals that you have to process in order for it to work, otherwise it could be counterproductive, so you'll have to walk for an hour every day to activate your metabolism. Fu went home and again followed the monk's instructions to the letter. Next spring the plant had beautiful small white flowers and went to see the monk -Master, I think the medicine is working, I feel great! What is the active substance?- asked Fu. The monk smiled and replied -I promisse you'll figure it out by yourself. Now let me see you- The monk checked the man the same way he had in his last visit and said -I see a lot of progress. It's time to take the next step. You will have to take flowers from the plant you've been taking care of and make an infusion. Add a few drops to your water and the medicine you're taking right now and take it with a glass of water three times a day. This medicine works in a very particular way, it reacts to hormones, so you should make love to your wife as often as possible, it reacts to sound waves so you have to sing at least once every morning, it reacts to sun light, so you should go to sleep when the sun goes down and get up at sunrise, and it reacts to Earth magnetism, so you'll need to walk barefoot on the grass at least once a week. As the times before, Fu did all what the monk said and when the time came, he returned t the monastery. -I see you have been very diligent with the treatment- said the monk -you don't look one day older than the last time iI saw you- Fu smiled and agreed -It's time for the final stage of the treatment. They said their goodbyes and Fu went home. Life passed and the two men became great friends, the plant grew to be a great tree and Fu kept doing everything the monk told him to. One cold winter, a few months after Fu's 82th birthday, the monk died and Fu attended to the funeral with all his family to pay their respects. On the way back his son asked him -Father, did you ever figure out what was on the medicine?- Fu smiled remembering his friends promisse and replied -Yes, chamomile tea- the son looked confused and asked -So what is the secret for a long life with a young heart?- Looking to the sky with his heart full of gratitude to his old friend Fu answered -Health and happiness, my son.
