Barely have time these days do do anything, and there's so much to be done. Looking at places to move, working and trying to spend time with friends is pretty overwhelming. I applied for a new job at a salon and got a call back, hopefully I can get an interview set up and rock that shit. The spa is nice, but sooooo conservative and...

Hope you are keeping well.

Love love love life right now biggrin It's sunny out, I just colored my hair and am enjoying a tasty cocktail. Work and comedy show tomorrow and hopefully a show or 2 this weekend. Life is busy busy, and sooo on track.
fry:
I'm so happy for you, you totally deserve to be where you are right now for just getting on with things when they were shit and now you have your reward. I hope it carries on for ever.

I'm also a tinsy bit jealous but I'll live wink

Been crazy busy lately with the new job and friends and such. All my chill out time is spent with the Squishy and trying to get rest.

Clutch will be coming to town in August, can't fucking wait. Been waiting for them to set their tour date for Seattle biggrin

I'm really liking work, trying to plan moving out in about 2 months and getting life...

You sound a whole let better, I'm glad the job is going well and good luck with the move - I know what a pain in the arse that can be.

It's both a scary and exhilarating moment when you realise that life is loitering outside waiting for you and that you might have to go and grab it. I think I might have finally got it nailed down this year, fingers crossed. You are certainly grabbing it with both hands by the sounds of it.

Having money for music is pretty much the only reason I am still in my job, I don't know where I'd be without something to get excited about.

I HAVE A JOB!

OMGz AMAZING!

I'm so freaking happy I could pee.

>.>
fry:
Congratulations, I've been unemployed and as shit as going to work can be it always beats not having any work. It sounds like it's a job you really want as well so I hope it goes well.

The amount of time that cat has taken a chunk of my hand away when play fighting I shouldn't be surprised that he's a killer but I always am. He does the cute thing far to well.
shadowslightness:
Aww, I'm so glad you're happy and have the job! Did you already have your first day? How's it going?

Aww, yay! Paying bills and going out really is such a pleasing thing. smile

Had an interview on Wednesday that went AMAZING! I'll be going back on Tuesday for a group interview, and I'm nervous but excited. I'm going to nail that shit and take that job! It's the cutest Spa in West Seattle, the people I've met so far are super nice and it's just right up my alley in many ways. I'd be a happy happy girl...

I'm sure your charming personality did just fine! Probably a good idea to be cautious about the tattoos too. I have to be cautious about sideburns because for some reason, most conservative companies still see them as some kind of sign for unruly rebellion. Yet moustaches, beards, and goatees are all fine... whatever

I was fine with the sun, but it got a little too warm in my apartment. Sitting on the balcony in some board shorts with the gentle breeze though...goddamn, so relaxing. I definitely need to get a fan though (for those days where I too need to just fucking strip in front of one).

I wish I could make it to that show, but I'm unfortunately working tonight until 10. Damn work schedule. In a few weeks though, it'll be changing to 9-5 Mon-Fri. Can't believe I'm so excited to have a normal work schedule, but having nights and weekends free is essential to doing anything. Thanks so much for the invite though, one of these days I'll actually be free. smile

And yeah, waking up to a dirty cereal bowl on the toilet...what are you supposed to do with that? I just stood there for a good minute staring at it, then walked away. Ridiculous. But it won't be long, I can almost taste the freedom! biggrin biggrin
shadowslightness:
YEAAAAH!! Fucking awesome! So happy for you! smile

Bleh.

That pretty much sums it all up.

Aww, I'm sorry dear. I'm definitely pretty stressed with things too. Do you want to talk about anything?
fry:
Been there, got the t-shirt. Hope you are ok.

Peeping Tom was a good time. Kind of a crazy night really, and I was blind half the time because I lost track of my glasses. All in all good stuff, though I didn't get to hang out with some people that I really wanted to hang out with.

Also, found out yesterday that I didn't get the job I interviewed for last week. Seriously...

Sorry to hear about the job, I know it's hard to keep your head up but something will probably crop up when you least expect it.

It seems that everyone I know has a bug or something right now. Strange really as these things usually do the rounds over the winter and go away for the summer. Hope you feel better soon.
shadowslightness:
Yeah, I think I saw you as well, but I wasn't sure. And in my typical shy behavior, I decided to wait until I was sure. Then I totally lost track of you. Haha, such is life. I'm down for a time and place though.

Sorry to hear about the job. frown You'll get something eventually, I'm sure of it.

And yeah, there was one guy in particular who kept fucking pushing me, putting his hands on me, being a loud asshole. I was pissed, but I should have just moved earlier on and enjoyed more of the show. Still, watching Mike Patton sing only 8 feet from me was a trip. Goddamn.

Hope you're doing well too. smile

Interview tomorrow! I'm so done with being unemployed. Oh how I would love to feel the glorious texture of money in my hands again tongue

Wish me luck!

AWESOME! I really hope you can get a ticket. If you can't, let me know. There is a small chance I still might be able to get an extra one (not sure about that though). Absolutely down to meet up though! smile

Oh man, this show is going to rock my balls.
shadowslightness:
YEAH! I'm so glad to hear you got some tickets! I'll be showing up early as well (I love being there as early as possible), so maybe I'll see you around early, maybe later. But I'll see you for sure. So excited!

Dude, debating gets me fucking HEATED.

HEATED I SAY.

So much hate.

Yet, so much respect for people's opinions.

Oh man....SO FUCKING HARD TO DEBATE.

TOTALLY understand. I had a roommate back in the day who was the exact opposite me on most issues...the debates would get ugly. The difference is that I didn't respect his opinion at all. Haha.

Hope you're doing well. smile
shadowslightness:
Haha, glad I can make you laugh. smile

Awwww, no Peeping Tom!? Very, very sad. frown But we should meet up sometime for sure.

Any progress with the new microphone?

Yeah, I don't mind glasses wither but for football and dancing at shows and clubs I'd really like to wear contacts.

Just to make you jealous I've got a 4 day weekend here with very little to do, it's lovely.
shadowslightness:
Thanks for the compliments on the hair cut. It was in my typical "grow it out until I get sick of it, then chop it" pattern. For some reason I thought I looked pretty dumb this time around. Glad to hear others say differently.

Yeah, the Space Needle destroys your sanity pretty quickly. I've always loved seeing people enjoying themselves, but whenever I'm at work, I hate everyone that comes up to me. It's awful, I hate feeling like that, but it's really hard not to. I absolutely should work up on capitol hill, seeing as I live there already. It would make life much simpler. wink When I was at the coffee shop around the corner last night, they said I should apply for a job. I've been VERY seriously considering it.

Hooray for microphones! I too just bought a pretty nice microphone that I have yet to use. You send me your stuff and I'll send you mine. Fun.

Can you believe it's almost time for Peeping Tom!?!?!?

Dear lord what a weekend. Dancing, pool playing, so much laughter and really good conversation, Wii playing, and a trip to the movie theater. Saturday I was hungover beyond belief and feared I might die, haha, but it was still worth the tons of fun I had the night before. I think collectively I have had 2 meals and maybe 10 hours of sleep since...

Ok, so for the 2nd time in 1 1/2, my car is dead. New battery and it won't start AGAIN! I swear the car hates me, but I need a vehicle so I'm forced to deal. Something in the damn thing is draining the battery and I will figure out what it is...Oh yes, I will.

Even though I'm having car issues, and unemployment woes,...

Thanks so much! I'm glad you liked what I sent, and wow, I totally wasn't expecting you'd send it elsewhere. Very cool. Really, thank you so so so much. I'll send more soon (just remind me what I sent you because I already forgot... blush )

We will definitely have to meet up some time, and yes, I'd love to follow through on it as well. smile Unfortunately, I'm going out of town the weekend of the 16th (it's like the only time I've gone out of town in 5 months, how shitty is my luck?), but keep me posted if anything else ever comes up. If time and scheduling allow it, I'm always more than happy to get together.

But yes, if nothing else, Peeping Tom. I'll be easy to find as I'll be the guy in a come that gets wheeled out in the first song.

And hey, hope the early bed time is working out for you. wink

Goodnight dear, and thanks again so much.
ms_danger:
hehe i've totally become my mother in the "tea and vitamins" sense... it really does work though! i'm loaded up on meds & vitamins & whatnot, so I'm feeling a bit better. Thanks for the note sweets, totally made my day!

hope you have a fantastic time with your best friend! seattle is fantastic (i'm in tacoma) but i know that the housing / job situation isn't the greatest there. best of luck with that... OH! and trust me, I am the queen of crappy cars... I have absolutely had the worst luck so I totally feel your pain. My suggestion would be to have your alternator checked (just realized someone mentioned that several days ago...) BUT, depending on the type of car you have, it might be a relatively inexpensive fix!

mwah!
